Last race today was 4.35pm so as you’d expect went to buy a beer just after 4 pm to be told sorry bars closed . Your bloody joking I said still 30 mins till the last was the reply .Look  she says there’s a sign on the fridge . What about your sign on the bar that says bars closed straight after they jump in the last is my  reply . Sorry  sir it’s closed . Well F me do you want customers or not ?

It has stopped me betting as much. I would stay home on Saturday to watch the aftermath of a race and in turn I'd end up finding something to back during the day. Now with no after race coverage I can just watch the replays in the evening and not have missed anything. Andre Neill is trying his best with his Facebook page, at least he is managing to get something of interest happening.

I see great strategic thinking, save money don't worry about the product presented. 
At least BarryB Is happy. 

I'm not happy that things that can engender participation like media and the face to face aspect have got stripped out or are under notice,
But its rock bottom and the new admin will need to analyse data like buggary and put stuff back in to re- engage the punters and participants. To try and rebuild.

No comments are made on general treatment of owners before raceday and on the day . Haven’t won at Te Teko  any no chance know .Ive found the hospitality the night before the races at Tauranga and New Plymouth fantastic probably shouldn’t leave Rotorua out of that either. Decided not to mention the opposite end of the scale as there’s been enough doom n gloom . Just glad we are back racing to be honest .

My horses have raced at Ellerslie,Riccarton,Trentham,Awapuni,Ashburton,New Plymouth,Tauherenikau,Otaki,Te Rapa,Gisborne,Woodville,Hawera,Waipukurau,Wanganui,Feilding,Waverley,Wairoa,Blenheim and Hastings.
My top 6 would be Tauherenikau,Gisborne,Waipukurau,Waverley,Wairoa,Blenheim with a special mention to Awapuni's specially dedicated all day access Wellfield Lodge/NZ Racing owners room  for anyone who has a horse racing that day where you get a dedicated tote operator,free tea and coffee,subsidised bar and buffet meal,numerous leather couches,window leaners and stools,ample tables and chairs and plenty of TV's etc.
This owners room should be replicated on all NZ race tracks.

Pretty sure rules state you must swap like with like regarding riders . Saying that the rule is easily minipulated.
