  1. Why isn’t loveracing and their marketing team onto that ? Be better than preaching to the converted .
  2. Know what your saying but it’s not designed for all day radio listening .Cheers anyway .
  3. Shame the trackside radio has gone as I’d have had the blue tooth headphones on all day while working . Would of put a few bets on , listened to trainer interviews tips etc .Listening to wall to wall simulcast racing doesn’t work unfortunately . Anyway hope all oncourse and those racing had a great day .
  4. I’d call that robbing the milk money
  5. My guess is 150 k Group 1s . Minimum surely can’t drop below present levels .Owners need a half decent stake if they are lucky enough to win a race.
  6. Agree I spent the arvo in the local and bet half as much as I would of if I’d have had my BestBets / Race form in front of me .Was plenty of comments from diehard racing followers who went to turn on Trackside radio yesterday morning and we greeted with silence .Many have followed racing for decades but not the finer points and weren’t aware of all the cost cutting measures that have taken place recently.
  7. Whats the marketing arm of Loveracing doing to increase interest and turnover ?
  8. Well that was absolutely pathetic! No Radio coverage or build up on a Saturday morning , no interviews with trainers or jockeys , no oncourse presenters .no after race excitement. Can it get any Farking worse ?
  9. Best you read the conditions instead of flying off the handle .
  10. Will have a big influence on my betting that’s for sure. No radio shows , interviews and raceform will see my betting grind to a halt apart from betting on my own horses .
  11. Maybe we need a statement from Mr Saundry to set things straight and let us all know if this is fact or fiction .
  12. Having a voice with Loveracing would be a waste of time .Question anything on that site and you get a private email warning you to toe the line or your barred
  13. Accountants would never get racing they would rather keep their money safely tucked away in the bank and sponge a drink off a mate . A punter treks oncourse with the dream of leaving with thousands in notes . Please don’t kill the dream .
  14. Stuff me wouldn’t they look at the mess he just left behind here? Only saw him once in the flesh was like a puppet on steroids
  15. Looks like they are trying to close tracks with assets and money in the bank ?I In the hope of stealing their funds to squander elsewhere . Doesn’t BS stand for Bull Shit?
  16. Pretty sure that’s right .Wairoa is my Fav all time track , great committee ,volunteers and the racing folk are treated so well all week by the locals and that includes everyone from stable staff right through to owners .Huge loss .
  17. Having your racing license taken away is out of all clubs hands I guess but what isn’t imo is the right to stay operating as a training facility ,farm jumpouts and in lots of cases a valuable resource for the wider community . I can’t get my head around how some think they could just seize that asset and use it how they wish using the weak argument it’s for the betterment of the wider industry . If the clubs still operate as I’ve mentioned the general local public will be the big losers with no access to live racing . What the F is happening to our country within a week Cops can enter your home without a search warrant and a whiskey swilling politician thinks he can start thieving others land with the swish of a pen .Cant see rural NZ bending over to easy .
  18. Agree leaves a trail of destruction and straight into another well paid job.In another era he’d be lynched .
  19. I’ve 12 horses ranging from 2 yr olds through to those racing if our local track goes altogether mine will all be given away but not to race and I will find a new interest almost had a guts full of so called experts sucking the industry dry .
  20. What a farking joke . Many of us like going to the races with a wallet full of cash and hopefully on a good day asking the tote operator to call for the security guard as more cash is needed after a decent collect . The excitement and occasion would be lost if it’s purely a digital transaction .
