Insider got a reaction from ADM in Trials
a] When will we know where the trials will be hold in the North during September?
b] Will trials still be held at Te Teko?
c] Te Awamutu have trials scheduled for 25 August!
d] What's the difference between the status of Te Teko and Te Awamutu? Official racing wont take place at either venue going forward, but trials are scheduled for one but not the other. What gives?
I know where I would rather trial in August/September, and it certainly isn't Te Awamutu irrespective of the transport costs.
Come in Bernard Saundry, the Trainers Association and the Owner Association. Clarity is needed given that I am paying $3000 + per month, not knowing what is happening.

Insider reacted to Baz (NZ) in WAIKATO STUD - STRANGLES
I believe the other horse or it's pony stable mate from the different property was actually at the track? Is that true?
How many other undetected sick horse's were sold by Waikato Stud and put on trucks over the last few months and dispersed all over NZ ?
I feel sorry for the little stable that has incurred the massive vet bills...loss of income and the owners who's racehorses are back in lockdown again after Covid-19 through no fault of their own !

Insider reacted to Don't You Believe It in RITA 6 Month Results
Because they only made $75m while they paid out $88m - i.e. they are giving more to the codes than they are making. False economics and the merry-go-round has stopped now with Covid in the 2nd half year. Desperate times. Thanks John Allen (and Bayliss, Brown, Hansen).

Insider got a reaction from Huey in So Avondale still has its July 18th meeting ?
Why not?
They expect Avondale to sell up and add the money to the common pool.
What’s the difference between the two clubs?
One rule for one and one rule for the other I would say.

Insider reacted to Blossom Lady in So Avondale still has its July 18th meeting ?
Ellerslie should shift their jumps races to Te Aroha and Waikato and sell the hill for $50M , they then can increase their remaining Group 1 races to a million dollar stake

Yes, but who will be on the board of NZ Racing. Those appointments are essential to its success or failure

Insider reacted to Red Rum in How did that name get through
Done a bit of digging , Pharr Canal , out of mare called La Fontaine . La Fontaine (La Fonteine) is a County in Louisiana , in that County is a township called New Iberia where in 1872 Henry Newton Pharr was born . You've guessed it Henry Newton Pharr grew up to head the Louisiana -Rio Grande Canal Company . He built a canal near New Iberia called Pharr Canal where now it's pretty good for fishing by all accounts . Straight up legit name in honour of Mr Pharr .

Insider reacted to tripple alliance in Jacinda Ardern
Jack , you do realise comrade cindy received 36% at the last election don't you , she only governs because winne scammed his supporters , those supporters are now divided between Act and National .
So this is how it is , National has regained a good portion of it's support , their numbers will continue to rise , National will be sitting on 42/45% at the next poll , add to that ACT who are headed for strong support at the next election and comrade cindy will be off to the UN .
Now , here's the challenge , name JUST ONE of cindys main priority policies that has succeeded , this is the most unsuccessful government NZ has ever had forced upon them .

Of course they can.
The 55kgs is the minimum weight allotted, not the minimum to be carried. The apprentices can still claim below the allotted weight.

Not necessarily. The pie is only so big and can be cut into so many pieces.

Insider reacted to Huey in Don't be fooled by the spin - the truth on code funding
It's quite clear they need to come up with a 2nd tier of racing, whether that's for less prize money or whatever it's absolutely imperative there are enough races for horses to run in. I don't know why they don't identify these deficiencies in their plans and do something about it, there is just nothing no initiative ,no industry planning or surveying the current state the July fields are in is evidence of this.
I have absolutely no faith in NZTR to come up with anything of note to rectify these situations either, believe me they haven't got a clue. Not only that why aren't we hearing from some of these well paid racing club CEOs in identifying these situations? Too many have taken the proverbial for too long and need to step up or step out.
