Chris Wood got a reaction from JTeaz in Large Cambridge losses
Two $100,000 paid employees in the office, interesting.
Like to be a fly on the wall at the AGM, everyone has to wear name tags, voting time on a few testing issues.
Grins might have been a good concept, but to run at such a loss?
The Bar has been ordinary for along time, JT got the best out of it, he ran it superbly.
Great location, but the patronage tells the story….

Chris Wood reacted to Charlie Bukowski in Senor Pete ...
And just coincidentally ..
BC has one racing at Mornington tomorrow.
Out that good one you're probably thinking of Woodsy, Cabella.
Wouldn't it be poignant if Redella, by Redwood x Cabella can get the money for BC , he's probably already on and currently $16s.....

Quite possibly, he had a few yearlings go to the sales by him, and raced a handy one to I think…

Chris Wood reacted to gubellini in John Humphries
Sad to note the passing of former jockey and starter John Humphries. He rode 163 winners. His biggest wins were the 1964 McGregor Grant Steeplechase on Ringlock, The 1965 Goldfields Cup on Kay Filou. The 1965 Founders Plate at Te Rapa on Yardstick. The 1965 and 1966 Waikato Hunt Cups on Sifta Sam and Explicit. The 1966 Easter on Rochdale. The 1966 Avondale Guineas on Barellan. His best season was 1966-67 when he rode 34 winners finishing 12= on the Jockey's Premiership. His first win was on Gold Symbol at Matamata on the 4/2/61 for Bill Ford. His last win was on Baildon in a Steeplechase at Waipa on the 16/6/73 for Mangakino trainer WF McCauley.

Chris Wood reacted to CeeMeNow in Cardigan Bay's American owner saddened by ATC's desecration of grave site
I have been overseas for the last month, and the first article related to Harness Racing that I read on my return yesterday, was your story on the ATC and their $78m loss. I have absolutely no confidence in their ability to fund a replacement for Franklin, they have failed miserably to attract the Auckland public to Harness Racing and I do not see any evidence that the right people are in power to do so in the future.
The total disregard for Harness Racing history and the memory of the Great Cardigan Bay is reprehensible, and further illustrates the complete unsuitability of the ATC Board to be in control of anything to do with Harness Racing.

Michael has pretty well summed it up, I wouldn’t bother with a wind operation in any form or fashion, huge vets bill and no guarantees.
