Chris Wood reacted to Womby in TAB to go tits up
My missus saw an ad on Facebook saying if she opened an account with the TAB and put $20 in they would give her $80 in free bets.
In 40 years of marriage she had never shown any interest in having a tab account, and regularly accused me of wasting lots of time and money on mine!
So she gets her account and asked my opinion on what to do and bet on, totally disregarded my advice and made 4 $20 place bets on names of horses and dogs!
Three came in and her account jumped to about $150 odd.
She didn't use it for a while but the good old tab recognised this and offered another $10 free bet that she put $5 each way on a winner.
And yes, she reminds me of this

Ouch, for a Yank, that hurts.  At least, some jurisdictions are still running.  I've been to the track in Nebraska that you are referring to, Fonner Park.  It's a fun little 5/8ths mile track with its own little idiosyncrasies, much like Aussie country/bush racing.
As for no form, you are misinformed.  All you need to do is go to https://www.drf.com/ and purchase the form.  Attached is the form from last Wednesday.
As for the pools being small, again, you are incorrect.  Here is a comparison of Fonner Park last year versus this year:  Mar 24, 2019 - $279,577; Mar 25, 2020 - $1,643,825.  This was all-source handle, each day ran 8 races.  So minus the Pick 5 pool, each race had around $180,000 in WPS, Exacta, Trifecta, Superfecta, Pick 3, Pick 4 pools.  Hardly small pools.  People are definately betting Fonner Park.  Have a look at the pools for Gulfstream Park for yesterday (attached).  I didn't feel like doing the math, but for the 14 races, I'm sure it is well over $20 million.  You used Remington Park, which is currently running a quarter horse meeting.  There is very little interest in quarter horse racing in general, so using them as an example was a poor one.
So the problem is that you bet US racing into TAB pools in NZ.  I run into the same problem when I bet NZ racing here, very little in the pools.  One of these days, NZ and US racecourses will work out how to effectively co-mingle the pools like we do with Hong Kong.  Until then neither product will be worth betting in to.
FWIW - I still greatly enjoy tuning into and watching Kiwi racing.
To all down under, stay safe and healthy.  Cheers.

Cathy Odgers' web site has much more detail on this matter, and the irascible Leo comes out smelling of roses.
I was surprised that HQ security ejected two customers who had gone into a toilet cubicle together and then locked the door.  Those bastards don't miss a trick.
I imagine the male offender told his friends that he was ejected after he ejaculated.

Makes me laugh, how many horse connections, punters etc would have congregated at various TAB facilities in Australia yesterday to watch racing all over Australia, so the virus is exempt from these areas, turn it up!

    NZ racing isn’t rooted for a multitude of reasons that are out of control of the licensees and industry participants, including but not limited to;
The Racing Act being unfit for purpose
The amateur club system whereby the wrong people have too much influence over regional racing activities

The RIU and their inexplicable inability to understand racing culture and heritage, not to mention their new found penchant for fabricating evidence and using non-expert expert witnesses
The structure of NZTR and their inability to provide reasonable leadership, and their bizarre fascination with failed Australians
    Their website sums NZTR up.
Poor media information based resources. Trackside simply doesn’t deliver as a punting resource and the codes appear to not understand, or be interested in, what punters actually need to generate churn

Second rate infrastructure that precludes the creation of a globally appealing product
    An aging audience
A very conservative population that doesn’t embrace gambling
There we go, fix those issues and we’re nearly there

No ... Judge Simon Moore and Inspector Scott Beard shouldn’t have allowed the murderers defence team to “slut shame” Grace and humiliate her family
Had the sexual history been suppressed, as it should have been, at Moore’s instruction, the press wouldn’t have been able to use that sordid rubbish to titillate their readers to attract “clicks”
Note Moore and Beard are both trying to distance themselves from that disgraceful and shameful behaviour now .... too late... they facilitated it because they lack empathy and sensitivity
That’s sub conscious white misogyny at work right there

As I have said many , many times on this forum, Ellerslie should conduct racing every 2nd Saturday, with the ARC putting in a Strath Ayr track.
The population is there, people would know that racing was being conducted on a regular basis, and it might just get people back on course.
The facility is wasted, get with the times, promote the best facilities in NZ.

Tim does it really well at the TeRapa Tavern.
Have to agree, bar staff at TeRapa are far from welcoming, and yes come the last race, all they want to do is shut up shop and piss off.
A lot of this has happened since the independent caterers have been involved at the track, there is so much room for improvement.

Isn’t this just a build up of the downward spiral of where we are at in NZ?
Yearlings sold, RTR sales, trials performers exit the country at the rate of knots, it has to affect the product NZ trainers are left with, and we still box above our weight.
I would love to have a horse good enough to participate in either race, but go through the list of past winners for both races over the last 30 years and see the quality of the animal that used to line up in these once prestigious races, we are on a rapid down hill spiral, and arresting that spiral is going to be a massive task....
Then there is the renaming of the 3yo fillies race.........
