  1. Ha ha! Sorry John - please ignore. Wish I was that smart Mark! Mind you double nothing is still nothing aye!! Man- what a horrible day today!! Really thought Pentahlon would win the Cup - hence the Best bet and also thought Stolen Dance was going to be ridden handy to avoid giving Kawi another start and would win. Oh well! On to the Karaka Million lottery tomorrow...
  2. Thanks for running this comp Nimue and to Moose for putting up the prize. Really enjoy these comps and will try not to miss the first round next time as it just makes it that bit harder. [Big Kudos to Geoff for his effort!! ]
  3. Fresh up for the Fantastic Fergies - [ hope I'm not a run short] R1: 3,7 [1] R2: 5,9 [1] R3: 6,18 [4] R4: 2,9 [5] B/B R5: 4,8 [1] Go well Ferdies!
  4. The dam is pure white herself, also which increases the odds of another white foal markedly. However, I seem to recall Zabeel left two white horses in total, including 'The Opera House.'
  5. HI PJ. I'm looking forward to being part of this comp again and happy to fit in wherever there's a gap. I live in Auckland but really not fussed. Thanks to those who messaged me in relation to the recent loss of my lovely wife a few months back. Much appreciated.
  6. Hi PJ - thanks for this comp! R1: 7,9 [2] R2: 8, 10 [9] R3: 4,10 [11] R4: 3,9 [12] B/B R5: 2,5 [6] R6: 2,4 [8] R7: 5,15 [13] R8: 1,16 [9] R9: 1,10 [11] R10: 2,5 [10] B/B
  7. So without any further ado: R1: 3 [12] R2: 7 [3] R3: 7 [1] R4: 11 [1] R5: 6 [2] R6: 15 [2] R7: 7 [3] B/B R8: 9 [5] R9" 4 [14] All the best and thanks heaps for a fun comp PJ and the sponsors!! :)
  8. I see my friend Mr Ashoka is feeling the pressure of my impressive 1.5 points fluked earned after I arranged the early abandonment of the Stratford races recently, while I was sitting pretty with a winner and a 2nd after two races. I can assure him, that it did not come cheap. However, I prefer to attribute my point[s?] to my incredible tipping ability which has seen me picking an average 1.75 winners every single day of this competition - apart from Ellerslie on New Years Day where I managed 3. However, most unfortunately, I inadvertently swapped my selections with those for the Losers Get Laid Swift comp!!! :)
  9. 'To hear a Nikau' R1: 1 [2] R2: 10 [3] R3: 11 [5] R4: 4 [8] R5: 1 [4] R6: 2 [4] R7: 7 [2] R8: 1 [2] B/B Thanks PJ
  10. R1: 14 R2: 12 R3: 1 R4:1 R5: 2 R6:4 R7: 1 R8: 10 R9: 6 R10: 8 [Joker] Cheers! Thanks guys.
  11. That would actually be quite funny Midget - if it wasn't so sad and indicative of the sloppiness that seems to pervade the game at the moment.
  12. Away from a computer for a day or so, ...so here goes.. R1: 15 [9] R2: 9 [17] B/B R3: 5 [1] R4: 1 [7] R5: 1 [15] R6: 2 [1] R7: 12 [5] R8: 7 [9] R9: 1 [13] R10: 8 [9] Thanks PJ.
  13. Away from a computer for a day or so, so will post subs. R1: 7 [2] R2: 9 [10] R3: 2 [5] R4: 7 [1] R5: 7 [6] R6: 4 [17] R7: 1 [5] R8: 8 [14] B/B Cheers PJ.
  14. I hate to bag people who have spent their life in the game, but I was reading the racing section in today's paper and Dillo has excelled himself again. "There's something about O'Racheal - something a lot like Sunline." There's something else about O'Racheal which I noticed instantly - it's spelled wrong! Try O'Rachael instead. What's worse, it's written several times incorrectly and several times correctly in the same article!! But the headline and photo caption are both wrong. Proofreader must be on Holiday, I guess...
  15. I think Hasselhoof will win. He's got that 'elastic' stretch to his action and when he accelerates it's electric. He looks to me, to be pretty much untapped at this point. Without wishing in any way to 'diss' the opposition, I think he's already shown he's a superior animal.
  16. Leith outrode Danielle this time: made his move from behind her earlier and as Mike D noted in the Herald, the length he started in front of her at the top of the straight was the winning of the race. She was clearly taking ground off him all the way to the post after having to wait momentarily to get out at the top of the straight. However, take nothing away from Kawi; he's a great horse and will do OK in Oz. And Stolen Dance showed she's a pretty amazing animal; 13 starts: 8 wins, 3 2nds [by the collective margin of a neck!] and a DNF are the stats of a super filly! All things being equal she'll get her big one and maybe more. Lost nothing in my estimation with that run, that's for sure.
  17. R1: 2 Bon Marche R2: 5 Saronic Miss R3: 2 Persevere R4: 6 Allmosta B/B R5: 4 Animator R6: 9. Waterberg R7: 7 Runway R8: 7 Northern Knight Cheers PJ!
  18. Am I too late to advise of my Best Bet? I see I forgot to put it in...If OK, R6. No 17.
