Magic sprite has thrown just as many avg dogs has he has good dogs. Look at the numbers he has breed, of course he is going to sire more top dogs when you have 100s more pups than smaller sires
NZ has some good sires right now, you only have to look at the likes of what Sergio, scotexcited, piggy back, yella mustard, star conquest have achieved with limited matings as sires. Shame none of them are advertised or promoted here. Than you ad the likes of dyna vikkers, dream collector, and fast archer who are only starting to have litters hit the track, the sires over here are in a strong position
I am pretty sure when that initiative was passed, the fee was for the rehoming off the dog according to the nzgra. Whether it goes towards gap, or maybe even nightrave... Who knows
I wouldn't call that brave. Only bad luck beats Ring The Bell. As for American Warrior, hes only been beaten twice past 400m in NZ,one of those races was a fall. Both look like top chances
Also from riding shotguns litter is natures gent who has been a good dog in the city and midnight elsa who's won 6 from 9 and looking like a top and upcoming stayer in AUS
The association have put several times from CD dogs who raced on Auckland Sunday in the Wanganui time list? Why? Shouldn't those times count towards the fastest times at Auckland?
I think prize money would help, along with other added incentives that attract new people to the industry. I do not have all the answers but there must be creative ways to get more and younger people involved in the industry
If thats the case. Than this industry will have very little trainers in 20yrs time. The stake money simply has not kept up with the price it costs to look after a dog. Why would anyone want to train a dog when you can earn the same money without the added costs in other industries?
You would have to ask them (the club). They had 7 c5 noms from what I understand. All they had to do was host a c4/5 527 and a c3/4 527 but decided to have a solo c3/4 527 instead
