  1. It was extremely successful overseas, can't see why it won't have the same success over here
  2. Why wouldn't people punt on the best race of the night. Sure beats the sprint fields on tonight and the other 500m races. Looks a good race
  3. Anyone know what shantui trialled today for great chase? Track appears to be running slow still from last night
  4. Magic sprite has thrown just as many avg dogs has he has good dogs. Look at the numbers he has breed, of course he is going to sire more top dogs when you have 100s more pups than smaller sires
  5. NZ has some good sires right now, you only have to look at the likes of what Sergio, scotexcited, piggy back, yella mustard, star conquest have achieved with limited matings as sires. Shame none of them are advertised or promoted here. Than you ad the likes of dyna vikkers, dream collector, and fast archer who are only starting to have litters hit the track, the sires over here are in a strong position
  6. It does say in the fine print that the dogs trialling can be swabbed
  7. I doubt the time is correct for either of those races. The first split run in both 457 would be near records. The second one for sure a record
  8. I am pretty sure when that initiative was passed, the fee was for the rehoming off the dog according to the nzgra. Whether it goes towards gap, or maybe even nightrave... Who knows
  9. Bedding can have a big part in this
  10. Why was this dog not put out? It fought the whole way down the home straight.
  11. Obviously dont venture to the CD much? I have heard almost the exact same story from two different people who saw it happen.
  12. What a laugh. The witnesses got it wrong apparently. What a defence!!!
  13. I wouldn't call that brave. Only bad luck beats Ring The Bell. As for American Warrior, hes only been beaten twice past 400m in NZ,one of those races was a fall. Both look like top chances
  14. Also from riding shotguns litter is natures gent who has been a good dog in the city and midnight elsa who's won 6 from 9 and looking like a top and upcoming stayer in AUS
  15. https://fasttrack.grv.org.au/Dog/Details/-494718
  16. Storm warning and spare some time were not in Friday night? Those times look more like Auckland times than Wanganui times aswell
  17. The association have put several times from CD dogs who raced on Auckland Sunday in the Wanganui time list? Why? Shouldn't those times count towards the fastest times at Auckland?
  18. Comes from a good litter. Top dog
  19. I think prize money would help, along with other added incentives that attract new people to the industry. I do not have all the answers but there must be creative ways to get more and younger people involved in the industry
  20. If thats the case. Than this industry will have very little trainers in 20yrs time. The stake money simply has not kept up with the price it costs to look after a dog. Why would anyone want to train a dog when you can earn the same money without the added costs in other industries?
  21. Can this thread be deleted please as there is obviously no truth to it from what I can see, just mis-information tarnishing a top dog
  22. Auckland Sunday will be interesting as their are several competitors lined up in separate races
  23. You would have to ask them (the club). They had 7 c5 noms from what I understand. All they had to do was host a c4/5 527 and a c3/4 527 but decided to have a solo c3/4 527 instead
  24. I think its harsh to say those c5 sprinters are no good though as most of them have gone sub 18.30.
