  1. So is every other Mcinerney dog.
  2. although I see the issue. 200 probably should be the limit
  3. How about all the dogs he beats home get retired at the same time as they are obviously no good if this dog needs to be retired? he's had 231 starts and still c3 and beating dogs home. He has obviously been well looked after to race that long. I've seen dogs have upwards to 150 and could still have raced another 50 starts. He obviously enjoys doing to the track still
  4. Don't be ridiculous... What makes you think there should be a limit on how many times a dog can race?
  5. Agreed. If we are not transparent on these issues, than the industry will go the same way that the NSW industry almost went. The group in charge obviously dont pay much attention to others mistakes because they are making the same right now.
  6. Maybe grnz are busy investigating the lowlifes who are loosening peoples tire nuts in the CD and slashing peoples tires. What disgusting acts. I really can't believe someone would do such terrible things.
  7. If anyone is stupid enough to be doing something they shouldn't be, than its their own fault. Dont blame that on others
  8. Only two and already won a group one, isnt he a flying machine? Congratulations to the team. Should be interesting if he goes to Melbourne
  9. They make two stipes reports. One for the public and one for themselves. The publics report is the sanitized version
  10. alltheway!!!

    Stuff

Also an article in the Sunday star times I heard. Can't find it online though
  11. These morons need to be punished and outed before we end up in the same position NSW found themselves in last year. The fact nothing has been done about this is very worrying. What are the nzgra and riu trying to accomplish by not acting on this?
  12. If this is true, why are cole dogs still allowed to be nommed? Sounds crazy
  13. Make all c1 sprint tier races. $500 and put that money into middle distance and distance racing. So bored of watching meeting after meeting fill of c1 sprints. If they are no longer viable, people will look to breed and rear stronger dogs. Than over a ten year period, start getting rid of the 300 m distances altogether and make 400 minimum. Just trying to breed for stronger dogs should help increase the numbers over middle distance and the flow on affects would also mean more distance dogs aswell let's be honest, ring the bell has shown us just how weak our distance racing is over here right now and I personally feel as though that the number of dogs being breed and only racing in c1 sprints is apart of the problem.
  14. Yes he had a positive. Obviously nothing malicious though. Doesnt take much meat to get a contamination
  15. The sport does not appeal to the young ones unfortunately. Especially when you look at young trainers like James black and Alisha Steele and matt roberts who have had a lot of success and still struggled to pay the bills. Even the like of callum weir have had to work still and he has had some of the best dogs in the last two or three seasons in NZ
  16. What a stupid comment as the only trainers I could think of north of the Bombay's are craiks, mullane and Smiths. Maybe Phil Green? And they all have travelled alot. Also last time I checked, Tirau wasn't pass the Bombay's
  17. Yes because Addington doesnt have three meetings a week right? There is almost no need to travel down south
  18. That was a quick change of tone going from 'he doesn't race his best at Auckland' to 'your jealous'. I say good on Cole for winning all the races they can. I wouldnt consider myself jealous of his accomplishments and chances are, Cole will only win more races as their breeding gets stronger. Still can't hide the fact that only around 50 of his wins have come from other districts where as the other 630 are around two tracks. Surely makes you wonder doesnt it? Especially when McInerney had to set up and establish two kennel facilities to win those same amount of races down south and in the cd
  19. He does have a top trainer teaching him how to do it. There is not really a big market in NZ for this too happen as many people do not want to sell the ones worth selling. I agree though having big sales would only benifet the industry and help get new people involved. As for the price of the dog, it depends on what type of dog you want really.
  20. Storm warning isn't a top liner? Neither is spare some time (group winners)? Or bigtime opal (how many times has he been beaten around Wanganui?) Bigtime bell I guess isn't either after running past most of the c5 dogs on Friday night down at Wanganui? Timma turtle also when he was winning c5 races at wanganui by 5 and going to Auckland and getting beaten? Funny how after all his good dogs were getting beaten, he stopped going to Auckland. I'd be surprised if he turned up this week after yesterday. Why go to Auckland when he can trifecta them at Wanganui
  21. Cole isn't really dominating the country, only the CD. Every time he takes his so called champions up north, they are lucky to finish top 3 in the c4/5 races. McInerney races the bulk of his dogs in the toughest region in the country, of course his strike rate is going to be no where near Coles
  22. By breeding 3-500 dogs a year and racing the best 100 a season? (And thats including his Australian imports). I think that would take all the fun out of the sport myself. He would have to make a million a year just to stay afloat so one must ask how successful his current breeding scheme is and whether or not it will be sustainable into the future (and I'm not taking anything away from Coles success on the track).
