  1. Please RITA have the balls to tell us what money we will be racing for come the new season. I have a horse in work ready to go but if it is not at lest the same stakes as this season the horse will be going to the paddock,
  2. Have heard they got rid of 30% of the staff but only 16% of the salaries, Go Figure.
  3. How much will go into stakes? Probably nothing. A bit chunk is going into paying for the bullshit artist John Allens hair brained betting plattform that he toured the country promoting and sucking people in and failing to mention the $17 million a year licensing fees it cost to run. All weather tracks will be used only for the go rounds 2nd tier horses midweek like they are in Australia so the feature day races and all Saturday meetings will still be up for abandonment like they have been in the past. For horses to race on the all weather tracks they need to first trial on them to get used to them. Can you see truck loads of horses travelling from Southland and Otago to trial for zero $$ at Riccarton and the owners paying for that, I think not. A couple of my mates have been doing alright on the the punt lately: How does the TAB encourage their betting.ANSWER they got emails from the TAB saying due to their betting activity the TAB informs them they are now ineligeble for all promotions and bonus bets. What a way to reward the loyal punter. And they wonder why people are betting offshore which they now intend to stop.
  4. Should have transferred it to Wingatiu earlier in the week when Oamaru was a good 2, Was always going to happen with a bit of rain which was forcast. DUMB
  5. So was Wingatui on the 22nd now it's changed to Invercargill. Looks like we don't rate.
  6. Cromwell is one of the courses being retained not sold. In think it's owned by a Lakes district trust.
  7. I see Rafi Firdaus is on the suspended list as being suspended indefinetly. Anyone know the details?

  11. R1 4 Trisha Lea R2 1 Volpe Veloce R3 1 Nirvana In Fire R4 1 Not Usual Talent R5 4 Cote D' or R6 13 Legramor R7 8 Astor R8 13 I See Red
  12. Regarding the amateur judcial panel; I reckon we have this in force at all meetings already.
  13. Does he do any research before he comes on trackside? Listened to him yesterday and he was bleating on about Scapolo carrying 56.5 in the sprint at Rotorua. Unless Rosie Myers can become an apprentice again that wont happen its got 59. He them went on about Natuzzi having had one trial since being back in at Avondale hes had another more recent trial at Ruakaka 2nd behind Rocanto. Stick to your wobblies Mick.
  14. He has actually lost his seat 3x. 2x Tauranga 1x Northland Talk about the tail wagging the dog. He has gone with Labour because he will be able to bully her.
  15. Not that well educated obviously, when you can't get jockeys names right. You upset me and a lot of others with your comments re mentioning riders who have passed and were good freinds of mine. I actually work in the emergency services in my REAL job and hold an officer qualification, barrier attendant is my after school job. And your still a dickhead and should be taken off here.
  16. Her contribution during Karaka was outstanding. A breath of fresh air.
  17. And they normally eat buggar all so you could probably get away with a seat+bag ticket.
  18. A couple of years ago Bosson did a similar thing on Tomorrowland to Querer at Otaki and the stipes called it competitive riding in the room. Head stipe Oatham has got it in for CWJ thats pretty clear.
  19. Well Berri;I heard a rumour that the Otago barrier staff were voted barrier staff of the day after there effort at Cromwell on Sunday.
  20. Good old Berri fresh from telling the starters how to do ther job, now onto the jockeys.
  21. Berri you sound like the complete barrier attendant but don't bag our staff. I was in behind that horse waiting to be kicked if you could have got it facing the gates then your a better man than me.Hats off to you for being so brave
  22. For the record the horse had a headstall on. The horse was late scratched at it's previous start also with a DIFFERENT barrier crew. We did our best. If anyone can do better give me your number your welcome to come and show us how you would do it. In the perfect world you would have 6 x 140kg props to push horses in but you can't get them. Most barrier staff are ex jockeys because they have horse sense, they don't grow that big even when they retire we had 4 working yesterday. Chris got off before he got thrown off. It is dangerous to blindfold a horse with no rider on if it gets loose your in trouble with no one to remove it it will kill itself. You would be mad to use the blindfold first up on raceday as I have seen horses go beserk if they are not used to it . Trial days are the place to test it out to see if it makes a difference.
