Our criminal Kiwi brothers (and sisters) are returning to our shores after being held in Australian Detention Centres. Do we refer to these people as immigrants, refugees or returning hero's?

    Scrums and TMO's. I can't stand them.
The only good thing about modern day scrums is that it gives me time to leave the room, take a shower, shave, do the dishes make a cup of coffee, then return to the game knowing they'll still be resetting.

He certainly doesn't see himself as a Mahatma Gandhi does he?
It's yet another of those cases where those of us outside of his church can see that the "Emperor has no clothes". But try telling that to his Destiny Church followers. You''ll have two shows, as they continue to dig into there pockets.

I read a interesting story earlier in the week.
Five Syrian family's got settled in Uruguay in 2014.
All good you might think. Uruguay does it's bit and Syrians all safe and sound away from the fighting etc. But wait - the Syrians looked at their lot in Uruguay and thought they could do much better in Europe. They began protesting that they wanted to leave. One family caught a flight to Istanbul intending to move on to Serbia and then into western Europe. Turks kept them at the aitport for 23 days and then sent them back to Uruguay.
I'd have sent them back to Syria.

Naenae, Taita, Stokes Valley, Wainuiomata. Poor buggers. Out of the fat and into the fire. They'll soon be wishing they's stayed in Syria.

    Thanks Memphis/Fitzy.
I knew RR was having a rest over after Queensland Carnival, but expected it back before now esp with the Warwick Stakes last Saturday. With Royal Crescent winning after a 700 day gap, I was interested what Ron and his mate would have to say about that time honoured race. It's usually a great pointer toward the rest of the spring.

    Nearly right Crusty.
In actual fact, it was playing on his mind, so John Key mentioned the debt to Richie McCaw on Sunday. Richie told him to concentrate on World Cups and Flags and not worry about debts and such like.
"Thanks Sir Richie," John said with a broad smile.
"No worries mate," Richie replied, turning away, while trying to remember who he was speaking too.

That was enjoyable viewing last night between 10pm and midnight.
Two wickets in the first over, seven by 11 pm and all out by 11.40pm.
Who needs Twenty-20 when you have action packed Test cricket.

Some of the Aussie's batting technique's looked as flawed as a schoolboys.

    Those Warriors eh!!.
Being a Dragons fan x 35 years I normally have little interest, but now I'm drawn to watching them each week.
It's a train wreck - repeated each and every week for the viewers pleasure.

Sad to see Arffa's passed away.
I suppose Tel had to fork out for the funeral, as "err in doors" would glad to be shot of him.

Seriously Crusty you are in a rut. I'm surprised your wife has stayed around and hope the poor woman has a job to go to, so she doesn't have to sit around and listen to you all day.
If your both keen on Poverty Bay then do the old girl a favour and get over there. The sunshine might brighten your disposition. Fresh fruit, nice wines, walks on the beach, sea air and the sun. What more could you want.
However Motelier might not be the go. Unless you are looking to name it "Grumpy Old Bastards Retreat" - with a "Visitors Not Really Welcome" sign hanging out front.

Finnian and Opo come at the question of Maori language from diametrically terms.
So do we want to believe an intelligent, articulate, forward thinking, Year 11 pupil from Kapiti College, or a bitter, old, chronic, RaceCafe poster, hell bent on promoting an end to Maori culture.

I have no problem at all with Indians immigrating to NZ. Hard working, like their cricket, generally easy going and more than happy to continue that great NZ institution - The NZ corner Dairy. I think they are an excellent fit, unlike some other ethnicities, who to my mind struggle with the NZ way of living and aren't such a good fit.

A study of Crusty is probably worth a Thread of it's own.
I have no real problem with Crusty or his postings.
There's plenty of Crusty's in small town NZ.
They may be blunt and somewhat negative, but they are part of the fabric that makes up NZ.
A bit like a Maori powhiri at every event, eh Opo?

As always I'll do my best to remain - Very heavy, very humble.

This article sounds like the ramblings of some 90 year old flat capped Pom with a broad Yorkshire accent.
Prospective migrants to NZ need to do their homework. If they don't like our culture, they should choose another country.

The way in which Kirwin should be judged is, "How many players have improved under his guidance."
I'd pick the answer would be "Not many."
Certainly not nearly as many as players under Rennie or Joseph.
