They have already started sinking the post holes and preparing the razor wire along the Mexican border.

I cant believe anyone would take this (rich)Trump idiot seriously. But then again this is America, a vision of everything that's wrong with the world, encapsulated within its boundarys.
He in my opinion would be a complete disaster ,should he prevail(which I doubt). The Hispanic element of America,s population would be apoplectic, given his views to date.
Its like watching an enthralling Comedy show, untill one realises this is real.
God Bless America.  I doubt it.!!

He's normally quite COCKey but I'd say by the time he stopped in RODney for a 6-INCH at subway Steven Joyce would have been TOYing with the idea of a harsh phonecall to the HEAD of his party and expressing his disgust that Mr Key had SHAFTed him by sending him along to Waitangi in his place. He would have prefered to be away on an overseas JUNKet but dont think he would have had the BALLS to actually say how he really felt.

I am genuinely happy to see Chelsea win their relegation battle against Sunderland.
The result v Sunderland was the perfect two fingered salute by the players, to their departing Manager.

Uriah Heap got a reaction from THE TORCH in Jonah Lomu RIP
To my mind the old hand came out a fraction quick in terms of the Givealittle request for public support.
Now we have information being released about the poor state of Jonah Lomu's finances when he passed away. Again, this info must have come from the family and Jonah's wife/Manager in particular.
It just all looks a bit contrived in my view.
I see where a real estate transaction occurred between Jonah and his father in law, involving a considerable amount of money. Has the Grandfather been asked how he can contribute to his two grandson's welfare?
Having said all this I feel a charity match with profits to the two boys would not be out of order. Just don't hand the cash to their mother.

Given debates earlier this year, the other thing I found irony in was -
Jonah only rented the house in Parnell. The owners are Tai Qin and Jie Wue.

With the state of the Racing Industry in NZ right at this moment, can you afford to be bagging the current NZ cricket captain when looks to take an interest in horse racing.
Kids (and grown up kids) who don't understand much about the recent perjury trial, are interested in what bat McCullum uses, what pads he wears, what he eats for breakfast, and what his interests are. One of those interests is Horse Racing.
If you want to knock the man because he appears a little dodgy, then lets start a list of dodgy people in the racing industry. It'll be a long list.

Can't agree with you there Ohokaman.
If you want to see serious boxing you look to the lower weights. Best thing that could have happened for Heavyweight boxing is the Ukrainian losing to a bloke who cries and sings a song after the bout.
Heavy weight boxing thrives on loud mouth showmanship.
What i couldn't believe is we got to see it for free. I thought that didn't happen any more with boxing. I bet we have to pay to watch the rematch.

He had a chance to get out before the turn and chose not to go that route. He sat, he gambled and rode for luck. The gaps didn't open, so he cops a bagging.
If the gaps had opened he'd have waltzed home, no analysing of the ride, or maybe called, "A brilliant ride". That's racing.

They have done this before and so have the Americans, for quite a few months. What they are finding is that it is largely ineffective. It's a bit like cutting off the head of that mythical beast. It immediately grows another one.
Further to this, I think the reason President Obama will not commit ground troops, is that he is being told it's a battle you will not win by sheer force. They live in the shadows and the fight must be taken to them in the shadows. This is why that fellow Snowden and his exposing of Amercian surveilance and spying was so damaging to the Wests ability to fight this foe.The terrorists noted how they were being monitored and altered their communications accordingly.

He got a "big one", but (previously) Scratchy Taylor comes right and puts in the biggest one of all.
Taylor looked worse than a Presidents grade No.11 in Brisbane, so this innings really is a tribute to his fortitude. Not the first time he's turned his form around like this.

Speaking of lazy youth. I looked at my College age son's shoes the other day and commented "They could do with a bit of nugget."
    "What's that," came the reply.
This morning I cleaned them for him and showed him. "That's what nugget does," I said.
"That's amazing, they look great, can you do that for me every morning."

It's a cynical man who will look to knock the gloss off this feel good story. First women jockey to win the Cup and her downs syndrome brother is the strapper.
Let the young woman have a crack in her moment of glory. She's just won the Cup on a roughie, she's on the biggest stage, the adrenalin's pumping and she's loaded up. When you've won the right to stand on the stage your entitled to have your say. Good on her I say.

I agree. One month for knocking out four or five horses is weak. Dettori thought he was in a rodeo. What they should have done is say, "We need to see you riding in Australia for one month, prior to any future ride in one of our big races."

Yes I recall Uncle Pat very well. Big Tony and Little Tony ( Big T's cousin) used to go for summer holidays up there. It was poignant that this is were Little Tony went to hide after killing one of that nasty bastard from New York's crew. Eventually after much procrastinating Big Tony went up to the farm and executed his cousin. He was a pragmatic man Big Tony.

From my understanding, I don't think McCullum was ever keen to give his "damning evidence" in Court. This has been forced upon him by circumstances.
First by Cairns taking Modi to Court for saying he was a "matchfixer". With the benefit of hindsight, Cairns may have been best to let this slur slide through to the Keeper. Had he done so I feel many NZ's would have dismissed it as the rantings of an untrustworthy man and Cairns would be a cricket commentator for Sky right now. By taking Modi to Court and even worse, by winning in Court, Cairns has made a powerful enemy of a man with much money and time on his hands. Modi clearly feel Cairn's was a "matchfixer" and was never about to let it lie.
Second - Someone leaked McCullum's statement to the ICC, made prior to this Court case. McCullum was told this statement would remain confidential. McCullum may have been naive, but I don't think he ever felt this statement would be made public, let alone bring him to Court to testify against Cairns.
My feeling is that the "bad blood" between Cairns and McCullum stems from McCullum feeling Cairns asked him to fix cricket matches in return for payment.
I believe that further on in the trial, Cairn's legal team will look to besmirch McCullum's character and question his motivation. This will be reported in the media and we will all be able to weigh up what has been said and arrive at an opinion.
