our so called government have encouraged judges to go easy with sentencing ,

Have they?? The current Labour Government is actively encouraging the Courts to "go easy" on offenders.

Show me an example of this; otherwise it's just another wild generalisation from Tripple A.

This statement deserves to be "fact checked."

    a raciest maori

The word is spelt "racist" Tripple A.   It's an important word for a person such as yourself to know.

In addition, Maori is spelt with a capital "M".

e.g. Tripple A is obsessed with keeping New Zealand Maori subservient to New Zealander's of European heritage. Tripple A is a racist.

  3. The main thing is Mikenz, that NZ cricket is gone from SPARK.

After watching overseas test matches on SKY for the past three years, I'm currently far more familiar with players from Australia and India, than from the Black Caps.

Overall, for me, cricket has dropped well down my list of preferred sports.

What then is the role of a synthetic surface? Clearly, when it becomes impossible to stage any grass meetings or any nearby, having a synthetic surface is incredibly useful to ensure you at least get some racing (better than no racing for the sport's finances at all levels).

Synthetic surfaces can be prepared to mimic slower turf by harrowing deeper - does this happen in NZ or are all surfaces prepared to simply run as Good 3 or Dead 4 or whatever?

Exactly the correct question to ask Stodge. I thought that one of the reasons synthetic tracks were built in the three regions, was that they'd be utilised exactly as was the case last weekend, in transferring Tauranga (likely abandonment) to Cambridge (certain to go ahead).

Who are these "pakeha" you keep referring to? There are no such people in reality. The word was manufactured by Samuel Marsden and other misguided missionaries to satisfy the mythology of some primitive cannibals who saw European settlers as "pale spiritual creatures emerging from the sea".

Believing this Maori hogwash which is permeating our social space is akin to allowing Humpty Dumpty to file a retrospective claim with ACC !!

If use of the word "Pakeha" worries you this much, then you've got some seriously troubling thoughts, festering away in that brain of yours.

The reason so many are turning away from Rugby is that they are choosing other sports. In Wellington and Auckland Football is 4 to 5 times more popular in terms of participation than Rugby. Look on the Waterside Karori Football web site they say that they have 1,000 players and 100 teams. Wests Rugby which covers from Karori to Khandallah,  population of about 100k can only field two senior Rugby teams. In Auckland large Football clubs such as Western Springs have around 2,000 kids playing. They are giving Rugby a miss and choosing other sports.

Karori and Kandallah are wealthy Pakeha suburbs. These kids rarely choose rugby, past primary school level. They're just not big enough for the modern game and their Mum's are scared. They move to Football or Bball, or they just stop playing sport.

In Wellington Snr club rugby you would be unlikely to see more than two or three pakeha in any team outside of OBUniversity. However, the games are very well supported by diehards of all races, even when the Hurricanes are playing at home, at the same time.  Far bigger crowds than for any local club Football (soccer) or Ball game. Clubrooms afterwards usually full to overflowing.

So that social, supporter side of things remains strong for rugby, down at the grassroots. I'd also note that, if a Wellington rugby club has five teams, one will generally be Under 85's and one a womens team. The Under 85's has far more Pakeha playing. In these times we live in, rugby is just too tough for some, but it is trying to broaden participation to some extent

I have thought for years, that a fundamental change they could implement to make rugby more exciting is a simple one. Make the fields 10 metres wider - much harder to defend movement of the ball through the hands.

Excellent suggestion Little T. I can see you are a man who thinks outside the rectangle. :rcfe-robot:

Trumps biggest asset here is the fact that this is just another piece of political persecution 3rd world type stuff ,

Waystar Royco - Fox News certainly agrees with you Tripple A. Split screen of Biden and Trump with headline in regard to Biden reading,  "Wannabe dictator speaks at White House after having his political rival arrested."

Tom Wambsgans had to have signed off on that headline.

  10. Forget the Stormy Daniels case; this federal indictment is the real deal. It's better than Succession. It's real life, and it's compulsory viewing.

Ex President Trump got asked to return the classified doco's, but he didn't. So which ones did he want to keep, and why?

Fox News are falling over themselves to divert attention back to Biden. "He had classified dodo's"; "Hunter Biden had a lap top and a drug problem" etc etc.

There's a Judge in charge who Trump appointed himself, so for now he can't attack her and her family. But watch and see if it begins to go against him.

Do Republicans stick with Trump, and thereby likely hand another term to the largely ineffectual, geriatric, President Biden?

    It is great viewing.

Golly Hi Ho!! You seem far too sensible a person to be posting on here.

Yet another thread that Gruff has hi-jacked, with his monotonous, self indulgent, rhetoric, about why vaccinations should be avoided.

  12. What a right old Anti-Vax Wankfest you boys have got going in this post.

In the three months from October to December 1918, influenza killed 9000 people in New Zealand. No Deep State conspiracy; no Big Pharma; no fake news; just a lot of dead people.

Nice win for Super Don  , Why do the establishment fear Trump it's certainly over the top, 7 years of persecution it's bizarre.

Special counsel John Durham has issued a long-awaited report that sharply criticises the FBI for investigating the 2016 Trump campaign based on "raw, unanalysed, and uncorroborated intelligence" - a conclusion that may fuel rather than end partisan debate about politicisation within the Justice Department and FBI.

If you take four years, spend US $6.5 million, and hear from 450 witnesses; you'll find some faults in any historic FBI investigation. I'd guarantee it!

  14. Court action against former President Trump for sexually assaulting a woman in a changing room and paying a hooker hush money are vague and highly disputable.

The one thing that is not disputable, and which he should definitely be charged with for the sake of democracy, is the call he made to the Georgia Secretary of State asking that official to "find 11,780 votes".  That is an outright abuse of power and shouldn't be allowed to slide. Why these other matters are being pursued ahead of this phone call beggars belief.

Biden v Trump.... again. Two geriatrics!! No room for vibrant young blood.

Mass shootings; so common place, that they're in the news for one day, before being superseded by the next mass killing.

Politicians on both sides whose main aim appears to be to dig up dirt on the opposition... as opposed to governing the country.

What is wrong with that country? They need to wake up and look at themselves.

Your "facts" are not necessarily facts though Gruff. There are merely your opinion based on research you have done and what, from that, you have chosen to believe and what you have chosen to disbelieve. Nothing more, nothing less.  Self-appointing yourself as a deliverer of facts does not make it so.

Exactly! Gruff's research involves scrolling the internet for opinions, which support his own biases. I'll take the scientists studies any day.
