  1. I'm not one to dwell on things and am now looking forward to watching the final on the TV with mates. Go the Mighty Canes.
  2. Great to see these two teams in the Final. Downside for me is that I missed out on the tickets. That Tickatek computer taunted me, by letting me go right through the process inc identifying the seats and me putting in payment, delivery details etc. Then at the last push of the button, to complete the transaction, it bounced me back into the queue. I'm gutted.
  3. Yep, when I sit down with the other 33,000 people at the Hurricanes v Brumbies game on Saturday, it's really going to be troubling me that those thick youngsters over in Glasgow don't know the game is being played.

I enjoyed watching the golf. - Course looked like it was located somewhere on the Volcanic plateau. - That railway line running right alongside of it was ugly. - Glad Speith won it as opposed to some no name.
  5. Now it's Tana. He'll go alright.
  6. Do they heard them into a pen, then auction them off?
  7. Jerry Collins death over in France is a very sad end to an interesting life. He was one hard man - but quite a giving character. He'll be missed.
  8. The boys got the job done at Headingly. A solid effort. This is a golden era for cricket in NZ. That rare occasion where the stars align and we get many very good players in the team at the same time. Previous time this occurred was the 80's. And what a great brand of cricket they play. Hardly a dull moment. I'm lovin it!
  9. I know one player. Winston Rufer's son is lining up for the All Baby Wipes.
  10. I'm a Rugby Union man from head to toe, but early on I purchased my tickets for a couple of games down at the Cake Tin. I even know two off the teams I'll be watching - Argentina and New Zealand, who both play some other country on the same bill. If any of those Argentinian supporters turn up I reckon it'll be a bit of a buzz. How many games have you got tickets for Crusty?
  11. I chuckled to myself when viewing the News coverage of the NZ Monopoly Champs. The winner was a young lad with a broad Kiwi accent, but clearly of Chinese origin. I thought "That'd be right."
  12. The way in which Kirwin should be judged is, "How many players have improved under his guidance." I'd pick the answer would be "Not many." Certainly not nearly as many as players under Rennie or Joseph.
  13. I missed the game, but saw Sam Whitlock getting tipped up and dumped on the News. Didn't look that bad. He's been sited and I reckon that's the best way to go with the 50-50 calls. Leave the guy on the field and send them to the Judiciary to take a look at. - Mind you they always look far worse in slow motion. He'll go for a week or so.
  14. That Kiwi boy playing in the Pom colours is killing us. It's a tragedy.
  15. I recall a couple of spring carnivals ago, when studying the Melbourne form, the first thing you would look for in a Race was the Kavenagh horses. I did alright out of that, but have to say I was a little suspicious.
  16. Shave it with the razor every 2nd day. Takes 5 minutes tops. Then it's another thing u don't need to worry about.
  17. Well, I headed for bed reasonably happy with our four early wickets, although a little unsettled that a born and bred Kiwi was leading the fightback against us. Awoke this morn to the news that we had let it slip. We'd need to get those last three wkts quickly, in order to hop back in the drivers seat.
  18. Vanity - one of the seven deadly sins.
  19. Right, I've changed my mind again. Evidently if the player maintains contact (which Nonu did) and gets some downward pressure (which Nonu did) then it's a try. Gee those rugby rules eh!! Who can follow them?. Certainly not the TMO.
  20. Ok I've now seen the Nonu non try on Rugby Nation and it clearly was No try. How about a compromise - "The TMO can only check grounding." Everything else is up to Ref and touch Judge.
  21. First Test at Lords coming up, but does it come at the wrong time for our boys. Latham a bit rusty and others coming from 20-20 in India. I'm a bit nervous.
  22. I knew I'd posted about this in the past and scrolled through to locate the thread. Nothing has changed in two years and if anything it has got worse. I was at the Canes v Chiefs game on Saturday and every time a try is scored I find myself looking to the Ref to see if he is going to review. I hate it that I cannot immediately celebrate the try. Worse still these decisions are going to the TMO and he's getting them wrong. To my mind the grounding by Nonu was marginal, the forward pass was marginal and the final ruck was a penalty to Chiefs. All should have been tries, unless the Ref immediately ruled otherwise.
  23. Well what's this guy doing being anywhere near a decision maker in the Blues franchise? The decision making out of this franchise is woeful. They tolk about no title since 2003, but that was a one off good year. The four previous seasons were poor so your going right back to the 1990's before you can find any consistency in decision making, coaching and results. That's a bad culture in anyone's books. Is JK back because every decent candidate recognises this and they don't want a bar of it?
  24. I seriously can't believe that John Kirwin is to be reappointed as Head Coach of the Blues. Whatever he's said to convince the selection panel wouldn't they merely reply, "Why haven't you done this over the past three years John?"
