I've always thought of laser or lights.Drivers know where they should be and starter and helpers stand on the mark so they know when you are over for god sake its not rocket science.Like really what dose the tape do absolutely bugger all  apart from breakers that break it and then we piss around to have it reset, if you go over well you just come back then flash a green light same as mobile and we are off not bloody hard, But some wise owl ginn swigger would say ooo no we cant have that. ask Carbine god bless what he thought about tapes the 3 races he didn't get any money was all due to tape wrapping around his legs and that was hell 130 plus years ago and we still have it ha ha shit we are quick learners

The TAB made a big point about how a Auckland Trainer Driver used his smarts and got his horses out before lock down (I DON'T HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THAT) BUT ..TAB that driver is driving tonight at the park and I bet you don't even mention it not to mention all the ADMINISTRATORS both Auckland and HRNZ  that drive these meetings have allowed this to happen and these are the very people that make you sign bits of paper left right and center. You are either Auckland or Waikato in this case not both, If you did it before the clock struck 12 that's fine but you shouldn't be allowed to jump back for tonight's Auckland races, I dont put harness racing in the essential category, HRNZ should have stepped in.

lots... and a very approachable  guy as he has given me a few tips here and there and I didn't really know him all that well seemed like a really nice guy

In de de de olden din din days drivers would get 2nds and 3rds hold back till money was up for a win then go like hell to win tis the reason why they put a stop to it not rocket science  

All the gin swiggers that agreed should also GO.The way I read it was ATC thought they would make 30 mill by doing some of the sign offs themselves which you can but you have to be smarter than the average mouse they are not , sadly it effects all of us, I do feel sorry for those that sold there houses expecting to be in last year now paying high rents what a bugger.

Firstly Congrats to Sailesh and the Owners, Secondly how about these junos get off there arse and talk to the owners they are the ones paying the bills  I get put off by the B/S when they always seem to interview the blue brigade yes we know they are good but come on there are others I recall time  when they dead heated with another horse O'Connor runs over to Natalie he showed that day where his allegiance lie at lest Nat did say go and talk to the other driver first and good on her.There use to be a time when Mic would go and talk to the battling Trainers /owners ect but the seems to be long ago

For trotters I say get rid of the tape, this is such a prehistoric way of starting, do lights laser anything but a bloody tape and don't give me the crap about educate your horse,( then lets all be on the unruly the whole 16 odd of them wouldn't that be fun to see ha ha )  horse  don't go near the tape it bites but go to the races and you gotta get close if i was a horse Id say bugger off..

I see they are quick to disqualify you if your gate is not good or you gallop unlike here where we hitch and fumble around like a wobbly wheel barrow
