dont normally come on here but it was reported to me there was some egghead on here telling fairytales! zzz i am bringing this to your attention because this idiot dave johnson has got his facts wrong and his malicious untrue remarks should be deleted! facts are(and thats what i like to deal in) is that i had fed the dog elki leading up to the day it got the positive.however it is matt who is the trainer and he was the one responsible at the end of the day.i chipped in toward the fine etc.yes he did have a big collect off it but his tab account was examined and the bet was no bigger than several other bets before and after the swab on many dogs!there was 1 loaf of the bread that had been fed left which was taken away and tested and found to contain exactly the substance that was found in the swab! now dave and all you other shit stirrers have the facts! and dave yes i did get p6!yeeehaaaa!.........but i only won 4 legs of it and i got the pool which was $36000.00!...so that tidies up your wee fairytale. zzz im sure you would agree that your forum doesnt need these idiots that splatter their shit fairytales all over the place! thanks to those of you that have tried to help sort the facts out for poor old dave

just as an aside, Ashburton Club may not have a race track but there are far more owners and members in that area than in Southland and Otago combined! so on that basis they should have an equal say in the way the industry goes

There were 2 bigger disgraces in this whole fiasco! Firstly the board should have never re opened the noms for election!The board were unbelievably stupid in making that decision! Secondly the fact that the person and the clubs had the cheek to to nominate and restand for the position that he had just been thrown out of! I am sick of the board constantly blaming the rulebook and clubs for not being able to make decisions! As a matter of interest were the clubs and the license holders involved in any consultation about every dog having to be allowed a start in the NZRS races???Or was that a decision they made on their own?Yet another poor decision and a fiasco! When has our voting system ever been anything like democratic? The system we have is seriously flawed and archaic and serves no purpose in todays climate. Change is long overdue in the voting system, the only way to be democratic is to give the vote to all the individual lps. Clubs, for the most part, are run by a stranglehold of 'old school' people stuck in the past. We need vision and enterprise but it is impossible to make headway with the mentality that exists. The industry is not moving forward! As far as being a witch-hunt, you could not be more wrong. this action resulted from a dire situation that should have been remedied the first time. What is more disturbing is the clubs that cant stand up and be counted. Diana

What is the natural justice you refer to Mike? The vote of no confidence was not a flight of fancy or done on a whim. It was a last ditch action to remedy a dire situation, one you do not have to endure in the North. If he has balls, then why has he not represented, let alone fronted, the very people he is supposed to?

What a farce! Its so ridiculous and incredible that it is funny. Our sport is a laughing stock and well deserves to be.Why was he allowed to restand and who in their right mind would want to restand?! Yes two clubs with a handful of members dictating to the largest greyhound population, who incidentally keep their clubs running, is nothing short of ludicrous and severely outdated. Lack of intervention, leadership or even common sense by our board has lead us to another untenable situation. Racing in the South Island is in a very precarious position and if not attended to immediately and sensibly, irreversible damage will be done! Why cant our leaders see this? Why is there no action? I for one, believe that it is time for the people to make a stand again, this time maybe more drastic measures are needed. One thing history shows us, is that you cant suppress the majority forever! pretty much we are all going bankrupt, thanks to the incompetence of the NZGRA and their inability to sort anything out to address the dire need for either more meetings or another track in Canterbury, let alone sort out this ridiculous selection policy. Thats ok they are sweet in the north so what do they care?! Not much apparently, keep your heads in the sand and everyone will be without jobs. Trainers in Canterbury are in a stranglehold with a regional rep that is not interested in representing them or fronting up, a board that wont take responsibility for the mess down here and clubs that dont listen to them. Yes Kirsty and Aquaman, South Island racing IS in crisis and months and months of trying to make some progress has just been shovelled in the shit pile.What a ridiculous outcome. Why would they have a meeting without consulting a representative from the majority of trainers?? Why is our Southern rep not representing the majority of his lps? Why is the assn so weak in giving guidance or a ruling? We have had legal advice that what is happening is illegal? Will this have to go to court? The situation is more dire now than ever and trainers are again sick and tired of this incompetent running of our professional sport. The whole way our sport is run needs to be addressed, we cannot continue, hoping things will be alright when they are clearly anything but alright. United we stand. Diana
