  1. This user @Midget has not updated their Xtra email address and I now have registered it ... so I am getting email updates on threads etc. Thought it would not be an active account so reset the password and have now discovered its actually in use. If the REAL @Midget could advise what email address the account should have I will change it in the profile and then they can perform the forgotten password process again ... everybody goes away happy. Can PM me / myself / you the proper email i guess
  2. I do not want to get into a debate regarding this post, but what i will tell you he is a real Gentleman and if we had owners like him our industry would be in a far better shape than it is at present. I know he had shares in Xcellent and Elsu in the other code, but like everyone else he has also has a few slow ones. So trust me if you will, He is a champion bloke.
  3. Agree regarding Bruce being a top caller and enjoy his commentary's. Just a pity his Golf ability is not at the same level
  4. Matt is a top guy, I believe he is as good as any caller in NZ.
  5. Richard Collect and family have decided to move to Sydney to continue training. A Calder is also following
  6. Credit to the connections, he looks a million dollars
  7. Can you believe this? A G1 race day at Awapuni and we have 2 Stewards working from home remotely. It states in their report that N Goodwin{head} and M Davidson, were on duty remotely. How could this happen? So i had a look to see if J Oatham was on duty at Avondale, no he was not there either. Surely when you have a Group1 race day the Head Steward in NZ would be in charge. He may have gotten the covid, but with the other 2 working remotely, you would suspect that was the reason for there no appearance live on course, so where was Oatham?? I am sure there must be a valid reason. The 2nd issue is, the suspension of T Yanagida and S Weatherly. I cannot understand where Yanagida gets 7 days for in my view reckless riding, not careless riding, all but puts Cavallo Veloce on the deck and losses any chance it had and S Weatherley gets 8 days for drifting out making slight contact. They both pleaded guilty and were both fined on top of the suspension. I am aware that when races that hold more status , the fine and suspension will be scaled upwards. I feel for the connections of Cavallo Veloce, as they were completely robbed of any chance, they have to worry about the horses racing confidence in the future, they have to pay for the associated expenses to get him to the races and any post race expenses. Ignore the fact that one was a G1 and the other a Hcp, the treat to horse and or rider, health and safety would be in my opinion of greater concern than the status of a race.
  8. Yes and you have to be double vaccinated to attend the races, so why wasn't Trackside allowed to view the inquiry, it would have added to the theatre. I was interested with $200 on the winner and $100 Quinella with the second horse, so was very interested in the result
  9. Can anyone justify why Trackside was not allowed into the Inquiry room to hear the hearing into the protest into the G1 at Awapuni today.
  10. Give Richie as chance, give just ONE name one example of your accusations
  11. I have put the White Flag up and waving it. I have done what Putin should do and surrender. I am pleased i have helped to hone your debating skills, as you will be in hot demand in the coming months.
  12. The only Pretty Boy I would be frighten is Floyd Mayweather and all i will say about your reference is, Thank goodness your could hold your breath for 10 minutes.
  13. Almanzor has the makings of a top Stallion. He was without doubt a top racehorse, has the looks and from what i have seen he throws this trait onto his progeny. He has been extremely well received by many astute judges. Cambridge Stud deserves a top stallion after the tragedy of they have suffered with losses early on and in Almanzor they have hit the jackpot, IMHO
  14. Yes you are missing something. When i started my apprenticeship, I had never been on a horses back, so had no idea how to even post. I was just thrown on one and with my lack of ability about riding, pulled a horse over on top of me, breaking a collar bone and my arm, with tears in my eyes my boss, said you better walk down to the doctor, which was 2km away.It was 6 months or more before i was even close to being confident enough to ride. The point i have been attempting to make is, that trainers must have some form of certification that has been signed off my an accredited person/s that will protect them from any safety concerns that Health and Safety may have. Many kids have had pony experience, but as you will know, there is a huge difference between riding a pony and a racehorse. The one point that should be acknowledged is that many Trainers have never ridden, so how can they be held accountable to the ability of the rider and what would be acceptable to satisfy the authorities?
  15. Are you on some form of medication, or cannot understand where i am coming from? The point i am trying to get across is before apprentice jockeys can be transferred to an employee to continue on there journey, they have been accredited to ride racehorses .Not doing what they are doing now, saying they have done so many years at pony clubs etc and trainers believe what has been told to them. Can you point me to were you believe ,i was distasteful to any of the injured parties? I am suggesting that a better system is in place to protect the riders and trainers from injury and financial ruin, as these two run parallel to each other.
  16. So does Ross give them a certification clearance, to satisfy WHS requirements of competence ?
  17. How much longer can Trainers be charged under the Work And Safety Act We have had S McKee and J Blackadder being charged and fined over $300.000 for allowing staff to ride when WSH say they were not ready to ride. We must find a better way to help and take the onus off the Trainers as who to blame when these situations happen. SO I HAVE AN IDEA..... Daniel Nakhie has started a course that makes a lot of sense, where potential riders and stable hands do a course which runs these people through all things Racing. This must be developed further and be given a accreditation certificate when completed. This way WSH cannot go and lay charges and finically ruin them when they allege the Trainers were negligent in there duty of care. NZTR should be all over this, to make sure the standards requirements are met .They have done things ,eg of appointing Riding Masters, which may be ok for Race day jockeys, but we need a system like Daniel Nakhie is doing and a similar one in the SI , to ensure that any Trainer who does take on staff, are secure knowing that the staff have been accredited AND THIS MUST BE FUNDED BY THE INDUSTRY. As i see it at the moment, who would want to take unexperienced staff members on, knowing that are massive fines awaiting them with the status que rules and regulations they face now.

I am hurt by the comment, wasn't he the guy with funny eyes? For your information i have been told many times by Ladies in my younger days ,my eyes are come to bed eyes. Good work by Edward Rendell, he rang me personally to make sure everything had been sorted, so Thank You

Just an update, Thanks to P4P who made a phone call to E Rendell, who in turn passed it on to some lady ,very pleasant she was, The issue was my phone ID was so similar in facial features with Brad Pitt, that the technology was not able to separate the images.
  20. Suggestion..What about Trackside asking Steve McKee to do some work for them.He is well spoken, knows the industry backwards, he has owned horses trained in the SI, so would know the form from there. He was won many racing quiz's, so his racing knowledge is 2nd to no one. Also he could chair a panel of tipsters, who each week give there selections, with the TAB sponsoring the bets and the winner after, say 4 weeks can donate the winnings to a charity of their choice. The following week you could follow it up with bragging rights and bag the other tipsters and the other tipsters can bag jockeys as well ,in a humorous way. They could also give the ride of the week and the shocker of the week from a jockey. The programme could also feature a serious segment where the wows of the industry can be discussed and improved on. Trackside need to come up with fresh ideas that will generate increased turnover and make it compulsory viewing. Steven can only play so much golf and after playing against him,i cannot see any room for improvement. So this may be a real option

I would like to express my disappointment with this mob. I have been trying to get an account set up for myself, but have given up. I started this procedure some 4 weeks ago and finally put it in the too hard basket. So i am now using my sons Account and his Bet 365. A few of my reasons for my giving up were, having to give 2 face identifications, they email and said it didn't work the first time , so did again and they said it would take up to 7 days to be verified, so after 7 days nothing ,so i ring the help desk and they inform me that it didn't work again, so i asked why wasn't i advised, they said, you should have been. I also asked why my Cashcard couldn't be accepted, they say because it is a company card, it is not, it is a Trust card, anyway i go and get a new bank account set up with my own name, which i might add cost me $15 and now is not going to be used. They said just go into your Local Tab to deposit funds when your card is verified, i can't go in because I AM NOT VACCANIATED AND NEVER WILL BE, so that is the end for the TAB for me. I will use my sons TAB account for Harness as BET365 does not take Harness bets and for the record i had over $1500 worth of bets yesterday with a profit of $815,and P4P do not come back with something like Technology has not developed that far, to, as get an accurate photo of my melon, as you are now a leading candidate for Mayor and that means you must play nice, unless you work for the Auckland Transport
  22. Is that the club Ken Rutherford was in charge of??
  23. Not quite right David. Grant Davidson won it, I was 2nd,which was shit, as i had organized the field, but Chris rode a horse he trained, which looked like it was in foal, so even the Magic Man couldn't carry it
  24. Yes Our Genes was the horse i was thinking of,Thanks
