We dont have to compete, we need our own series. Who cares if it is not world class? Our winners or best performed horses will still compete with pride in Australia. The ITM Cup,A League or NBL aint world class but it is a platform that people get behind. No point worrying about facilities until clubs consolidate so we may as well make the most of what we have, which is decent horses and good horse people. Not all sport stadiums in NZ are modern day quality.

A shame, he seemed to be able to withstand the pressure from the Sydney clubs. Its a sad day when tossers like Gould and Pearce get their way, back to the future for league. I wouldnt be suprised if the Warriors get cut for another Sydney team. Or Penrith will get exemption to fight AFL- a new STORM is brewing.

Atleast they dont have Ian Foster! Deans is such a bad coach that 5 years ago their tight 5 was rubbish and it still is.You would think if he was any good that area would have improved.

We are not talking about what the oncourse experince is like at the mo, its about trying to improve it. If you created an elite racing series that could be promoted like a sports league we would be heading down the right track. Racing can still be monday to saturday but having something special that people could follow would be cool. Until clubs combine resorces we will never have quality stadia but we can still have high level sport which would be a start?

Could racing put together a series of 3-5 tracks that raced only on saturdays over a 'season'. These meetings would be like NRL or S15, the best horses and qualified horses over a set time. It could be step by step going through our group racing culminating in NZ day/week at the designated course. NZ derby, cup, mile, sprint, oaks etc held in a week, the big party could be moved year to year.

I never warmed to Hansen. He was rude, boring and never inspired me. When he was made Allblacks coach I shuddered but now... what a cool team. For years the naming of an AB was predictable, Steve has changed this! We can focus on Piri and Ali but its the 5 or 6 new players that have changed my perception of Hansen. Picking players he believes in and who cares if they dont start in S15! This could be more interesting that I thought.

The Storm are a disgrace. The club should have been bulldozed after the job they did on the game. Its not as if they bent the rules, they smashed them and then use the 'stonewall' tactic to avoid blame.

Manu will hold his spot, there is know one to replace him. He will get back on track ( he has to ) or Superleague will be calling. Fish is soft and will be gone as soon a Locke is back so unless they roll the dice with Omar, Manu is here to stay.
