Punters spread the sports wealth. Racing is likely to survive with out us but it will be truely elite. Like being the owner of a sports team or airline. The punter keeps more people employed, demand a decent service and want to cheer on champions. Let punters go at the peril of racing.

Its not 1950. Why would anyone punt on these meetings when you can bet at Ellerslie or Sydney. How can you build a wave of excitement from the horses that race at these meetings? Campgrounds survive on school holidays.

Warwick Farm races today were fields, full of horses with potential. Bet the next star. This is much more exiciting to bet on than NZ horses that have had 30 starts each and always seem to race each other week in, week out.
