I layed Puccini on the basis he probably couldn't lead from start to finish over the 2400 at ellerslie... In hindsight he probably could have, but that's not the point. Jockey gave misleading info about how the horse would be ridden and if it was planned all along to ride him back in the field then that's poor form. Do you think that ride was by design or things didn't pan out as planned and pure talent won him the race

Heading up to ellerslie for nz derby and then Bruce Springsteen on Sunday, can't wait for both events! Been to plenty of race meets around the country but this wil be my first trip to Ellerslie. Any tips or ideas from seasoned derby goers to make the most of the day? Where to sit, drinks, hospitality packages etc.... Cheers Scott
