Don't really agree with this. Menangle race the mile or 2300 and most Saturday night races are run sub 1.55. The races are entertaining and even. It helps having a $200 million fund to attract the best horses I suppose. But good racing stimulates turnover and it's the perfect circle.The problem with our racing in New Zealand is the drivers. They are weak and lack agression. I can't watch New Zealand racing anymore. Favourite/Dexter/Mangos just roll to the front, walk a half in five and sprint home in 57/58 and win. So boring and predicatable. Now Aussie is flourishing, they are buying our horses, we are breeding less and sending our best ones to Melbourne or Sydney on deals. Our fields are dropping, turnover is plummeting and racing pool dimishing. Talk about the opposite... a vicious circle.

I think this is an especially weak 3yo colts and geldings crop and I have no doubt she could win the Derbys if she lined up. She looks far and away the best filly I have ever seen at this age. Better than Elect To Live, Iman, De Lovely etc
