  1. A sheepish Kieran Foran has now fessed up that HE DID knock the ball foward...
  2. John..have just arrived home from work, and see Grizzly has more or less confirmed what you heard. Must confess I was very surprised to see meeting abandoned, when Sunday was amoungst the best weather wise for several weekends,so damage to Track had obviously occured prior to Raceday.
  3. ..that article says it all. I'm disappointed in Kieran Foran brazenly lying in interviews post match..he should have smiled and admitted to copping a 'lucky decision' from The Refs. Admired how Jonathon Thurston 'kept his cool' in his exchanges with Refs, and disgusted how 'precious' Shayne Hayne dismissed him!
  4. And as a Greyhound Man,I would have to go with Doggies to triumph!!!
  5. Aha..with just two games this weekend, very easy workload for the scorer! Results: Sea Eagles 20 v Cowboys 12 Rabbitohs 38 v Raiders 16 With tactics coming into play, and quadruple points at stake, only four labelled both winners, including the leading trio. 24.0 Pilli..Tabrat..OnTheNose..VanTurk 20.0 Ohokaman..Ziggy..Idolmite..PeterJenkins..Memphis.. JackAttack 15.2 Flash..RedBaron..BWJ..Turny..Pogo 11.2 Moz..KayHollis *Status Quo remains at the top, with Pilli's strategy of picking 48hours before kickoff failing to shake off his closest chasers! Overall the Top Ten remain intact, with Ziggy again being the main mover jumping another couple of placings to keep the leaders in his sights! LEADERBOARD 494.7 Pilli 494.3 Tabrat 490.0 On The Nose 482.5 Ohokaman 473.7 Ziggy 473.0 Moz 470.1 Flash 469.8 Idolmite 463.5 Red Baron 462.2 BWJ 460.2 Turny 456.2 Peter Jenkins 451.5 Van Turk 449.3 Memphis 418.6 Pogo 407.2 Kay Hollis 389.8 Jack Attack 385.7 Craigos 356.4 Sulieman 351.6 Von Cettes 317.1 Nick 260.7 Dogzstar 253.0 Dizzy 249.4 Smoken Up
  6. Big congrats to Team Fahey..Pave The Way Syndicate..and of course the dog of the hour KNOW PEACE. Hot on the heels of Group Success by THRILLING BRAT earlier this year on Australian Soil,KNOW PEACE scored at Wentworth Park in The Group 3 Chairman's Cup,carrying a stake of A$34,875 at only his 3rd Australian Start. As slowest qualifier,Know Peace returned $19 as 5th favourite, beating 2nd fav Irma Bale..who recently won The Sandown Cup $100k to winner, plus pushed brilliant Miata to 0.75L in track record Australian National Distance Final. Unplaced was track specialist and super impressive heat winner, favourite He Knows Uno. KNOW PEACE departed NZ with only 2 distance runs in his career: bt Grace Hill 6L 645m Addington bt Platinum Playboy 7.5L 755m Hattrick in Group 2 Wanganui Stayers Final Other Season Highlights include: 2nd Group 1 NZ Cup 1st Group 1 Spion Rose 1st Group 1 Wellington Cup 1st Group 1 NZ Breeders Stakes 1st Group 2 NZ Sires Produce Tonights Win also kept up a 100 percent winning strike rate for Owners Pave The Way Synd in Australia..with their previous runner The Brilliant 'Winsome Ashley' winning her lone start 2008 Sister Cities Cup at Angle Park,Adelaide. *The Faheys were planning an Australian Campaign with their sensational stayer Dangle The Carat, who tragically had her career all but ended by injury ..before her potential v Aussie's best could be tested! Looks like the days of 'Gun Kiwi Raiders' targeting Aussie Riches is on the rise! Cheers,Pilli. :cocktail:
  7. ..insisted he didn't touch the ball as he jumped up with Thurston in the buildup to the fourth try..YEAH RIGHT !!!!!
  8. Agree with Tassie Man. Headlining your thread "Big Buys"..then detailing several purchases in the $20k range..makes a mockery of such a description.
  9. Selections At A Glance: 1 Sea Eagles.v 2 Cowboys 3 Rabbitohs...v 4 Raiders 470.7* 1-3 Pilli 470.3* 1-3 Tabrat 466.0* 1-3 On The Nose 462.5* 2-3 Ohokaman 461.8* 2-4 Moz 454.9* 1-4 Flash 453.7* 2-3 Ziggy 449.8* 2-3 Idolmite 448.3* 1-4 Red Baron 447.0* 1-4 BWJ 445.0* 1-4 Turny 436.2* 2-3 Peter Jenkins 429.3* 2-3 Memphis 427.5* 1-3 Van Turk 403.4* 1-4 Pogo 396.0* 2-4 Kay Hollis 385.7 DNP Craigos 369.8* 2-3 Jack Attack
  10. Congrats Moz..you may have just played the winning cards...
  11. SUDDEN DEATH..winning teams-survive..losing teams-season ends. Two Games Only***QUADRUPLE POINTS 1 Sea Eagles..v 2 Cowboys 3 Rabbitohs....v 4 Raiders
  12. Last place in The Fedex Tour Championship walks away with US $303k. Last Years Winner Bill Haas I think won from 28th position, due to remarkable finishing placings from so many players..very unlikely to be repeated! Actually Bill Haas this week was in a safe spot to get opportunity to defend his title..but bogied 4 of the final 5 holes..shot a 78..and finished 32nd in rankings..goodbye minimum $303k.
  13. You've kept those stories quiet when visiting The Sefton Jibbs!
  14. Yes..a couple cheaper than the airfreight and import tax costs from Oz.
  15. COLSORUS..Skyhawk 11xLionroc Owned/Trained B C Russo,Te Rapa. Opened on tote according to my handwritten bible at $99 $30..and closed $99 $25..didn't finish in the first six home. Other Riders in that Derby were: Neil Hain..Stephen Autridge..Craig Cossill..Warwick Robinson..Bob Vance..David Peake..Ken Reggett..Grant Cooksley..Maurice Campbell..Bruce Compton..Gary Phillips..Nigel Tiley..Debbie Stockwell. Looks like Cookie/The Ice Man the sole surviving jockey! Always thought keeping the Race Book would come in handy one day.
  16. Gee Steve, that was a tantalisingly frustrating way to lose! I watched the final 3.5 hours of coverage, and don't recall any other shots shown that landed in the water... Fancy 8 halfs of footy and 8 rounds of golf all hinging on a final hole tee-shot!!
  17. Rory McIlroy,at one point in a 5-way tie for the lead..walks on to the 72nd with a 3-shot lead, lands his first bogie in 27 holes and wins by 2. Thus completing his 3rd victory from last 4 PGA Events hes teed off in. Other points of interest.. *Mickelson..with 2nd= finish enters all important Top5 spot of FEDEX Table. *Ryan Moore sinks tricky par put on 72nd to jump into Final Top 30 on FEDEX Table. *Overnight leader Vijay Singh needed Top5 finish to stay in FEDEX Top30..with 5 to play was still safe..then bogied 3 of next 4 holes to sink his hopes. Was great viewing..RORY will be paired with TIGER in opening round of Final Top 30 Tournament in a fortnight.
  18. *Home advantage proved a winning formula, and Manly were the only Tote favoured team to lose. *Six Teams remain,as Season Ends for Broncos and Sharks. *Six Selectors correctly picked all four results. 21.4 OnTheNose..Ohokaman..Ziggy..Turny..PeterJenkins.. Memphis 20.2 Pilli..Tabrat.. 17.8 Jack Attack 16.8 Moz..GR8K9Z 16.6 Flash 14.8 Pogo 14.4 Red Baron..BWJ..Kay Hollis 13.2 Van Turk 13.0 Idolmite *Status Quo remains at the top, though TABRAT only a single dropgoal behind..ON THE NOSE moves up a spot into 3rd,and closes on the leaders..Moz drops a couple spots back to 5th..and ZIGGY jumps 3 places into 7th. Overall the Top Ten remain intact. LEADERBOARD 470.7 Pilli 470.3 Tabrat 466.0 On The Nose 462.5 Ohokaman 461.8 Moz 454.9 Flash 453.7 Ziggy 449.8 Idolmite 448.3 Red Baron 447.0 BWJ 445.0 Turny 436.2 Peter Jenkins 429.3 Memphis 427.5 Van Turk 403.4 Pogo 396.0 Kay Hollis 385.7 Craigos 369.8 Jack Attack 356.4 Sulieman 351.6 Von Cettes 317.1 Nick 260.7 Dogzstar 253.0 Dizzy 249.4 Smoken Up
