What's disappointing here is the fact most champions of different eras are always compared, you even hear mock races from time to time involving horses spanning 100 years.... We have two one in 50 year animals racing at the same time and place and won't get to see them ever meet on a racetrack...at the very least they could run together in a 'friendly' exhibition gallop!!'
  3. Looks as though it's to tough mardy, get out the ol spinning wheel and dart for this one brother.
  4. Some think she could draw the second line and still win tommo !
  5. We should get sheriff to put that on the header. Nice work

Bird ,zilman(doubt)champion and white out... I like the titans but will go dragons in a close affair Smokey
  7. Whetu lined up against tidal light, abit leica, random chance, solveig, magnitude kosha, lomondy and precocious lad in the 87 air new Zealand stakes...tri belle, waverley star, alynda and solstice were on the same card. Good day at the races!
  8. 51 riders! Macloud and whetu quinelled on two different occasions in the same carnival. Trevor bau rode whetu from memory, no world beater but a nice horse.Macloud seemed to show his best with a bit of precipitation.

Best of luck ziggy!...I'm going storm overs, and the roosters will need to be spot on to challenge a hungry manly with Matai back...some nice games this round ,penrith look the best chance, and St George should do the buisness as well

Your right, they did go hard for the front and was a little muddling down the back with the section around the mile mark one of the quickest, boundless got a fairly good run considering after some early work and you must say did get her chance, the leaders were 150-1 and drifting after the first mile. All and all the best stayers that day fought it out with cest la Guerre the unluckiest runner.least you were lucky enough to have a runner in and she gave you a sight
  11. . He didn't get to where he is today by chance, he knew he was going to demolish the mile mark with this horse while he was sprinkling gold dust over his weetbix that morning.

I thought the 2008 Melbourne cup was a fair contest nerula, if anything the pace seemed to slacken middle stages and ended up a bit of a sprint home from memory, I thought cest la Guerre was a good thing beaten and master oreillys run was also very good
  13. On what we have seen Lloyd,we have seen BC is unbeatable up to 1200,we have seen little to suggest further

A pacemaker makes the race a little more about horses ability rather than jockeys decision making or lack of bazza
  15. Well put together TB, BC has been quoted at close to 20m/s in a section of the Newmarket ,seems to be up there with the fastest quarter horses in the u.s. What sort of stride length do these quarter horses have?

  18. Don't forget whetu! Always a good quinella when racing together at ellerslie!
  19. I'd suggest there would be a few that could Libby. We havnt seen BC in a competitive 1400.. YET, Jurys out
  20. Only one entry drew....Your going to need a little rain!
  21. Totally agree von, not a big roosters fan myself but a team better than their lower table position, I rate them low eight ahead of the jammy dogs, capable of taking some good scalps

He stretches his posts like he does the truth, if he took the flamberge roosters multi he'd be congratulating instead of berating!Libby will get there, he's learning the ropes, unfortunately it got a little caught up around his neck this week.
