  1. Breednet is a fantastic informative site
  2. Buckpasser USA and what about the dam of Piccadilly Circus...Gatana
  3. I worked with a visiting vet from turkey. yes horse racing is big over there.
  4. I found this thread a fascinating one to say the least for for various reasons, for one it brought back many great memories of my teen years where I was fortuneate enough to see this champion mare win many times and over the Riccarton Cup week, the clown who wrote this post and his partner in "Ignorance" need to hang their heads in shame, who cares if one of them had a group horse in past, she was a champion in her own right and diserves her place in the Hall Of Fame" and good on the panel for remembering her for the gallant mare she was, yes we all know of the other top mares La Mer, Lilt, Blue Denhim, Mapperley Heights, Wenona Girl, Leilani, Sunline, Ethereal...the list go's on, enjoyment is to acknowledge them all!!
  5. This certainly would be looked at he needs to be stopped
  6. He stayed with us in Qld when he was here, the horse clearly loves racing. he's harming no one and he's better looked after while racing then in the paddock, Sir Slick will let the boss know when he's had enough.
  7. Its a racket all for the vets again! how about giving back to breeder he's already paid the fee why pay again
  8. i Had abit to do with his stock over the years and saw him in later years at Blue Gum cant say his stock had issues temperment wise they were lovely natured and tough on track, cant recall they had any conformation issues just like any other breeding I guess...ring a bloodstock agent
  9. Is whilst its helpful to understand where your new horse has been and what hes been through speaking from experience I would not listen to too many but suggest going back to basics after a good break and letting him down over time...take all grain off him and keep his feed very simple nothing fancy...dont resort to trying tongue ties if your only starting him off he clearly resents the bridle so dont make an unpleasant experience....he was a freebie yes but he is priceless to you and thats all that matters..you offered him a second chance and good for you best of luck wish there were many more like you that cared where there horses had come from
  10. Started to wonder if I was alone on this site of knockers....A champion through an through BC an her Trainer
  11. t All West Coast tracks should close, the cost of the up keep versus the amount of racing they get show they are not viable, also Rangiora.should go...personally racing looks stuffed in NZ why not just have major tracks in South..Dunedin, Christchurch, Timaru, Nelson Blenhiem, Ashburton , an Motukarara an Kaikoura for special events, ..North Trentham, Hastings, Taupo, Ellerslie, Avondale, Levin, Matamata, Cambridge, Te Aroha, Wanganui, Awapuni.. probably a few I left out by mistake but all an all the rest I missed should close... there are too many tracks in NZ to support the sport some could maybe remain training tracks
  12. I wonder why it is NZ racing is in turmoil....with this thread its obvious...why do you have to knock her or her connections she is here for a short time why not enjoy her and stop the tall poppy syndrome comments Dont know why I bother to even be on this site at times
  13. Indeed your right Beau Zam was with Bart and Anthony would have been very young ...however the comments of Anthony are a little unjust.. to the writer, .this is just his way people are too quick to judge
