I think no where else in the world has free to air racing so why should NZ have that benefit to the financial detriment of all racing. In Australia they have two racing channels and you need to subscribe to them both if you want to get coverage of all the racing. You could hardly say their racing has suffered by having to pay to view. For those who are too miserly to afford sky, and dont forget all the other sport we have to pay to view for as well, you can access the free watch and bet site that comes with the TAB website. I use it frequently while my wife watches her cooking shows.

Two that stick in my mind is one, the preformance of Dizzy (Final Decision) in Lunar Chances cup. He lost 100 meters at start (at least) and was not even in the frame with a lap to go. To get up for 2nd beaten a nose must be one of the greatest cup runs ever. If you have not seen this race it is a must for harness fans . And two the win by the Aussie raider Steel Jaw. Pulling his head off in front the whole way and then going clear down the back and winning by what must have been 10 lengths.

Agree his horses have not been preforming up to their ability in the past couple of weeks. I have been a keen follower of his horses for several years and there could be any number of reasons for this "bad patch" Many trainers over the years have periods when winners dry up. Remember form is tempary class is permanant. Stay with!!

Thanks for the info. Keep up the spotting especially those that are running on behind not trying too hard. Its easy to read about a smart winner but you need to be there to see whos actuelly travelling good. A bit hard from the S.I.
