  1. Should be on the same page at Mr M Kerr then A good match.
  2. These machines look like a Mercedes, all flash and colourfull but run like a Lada. I use them reqularly at the local but are so frustrating and I know them well. Pitty the casual user. Any money you put in is sent to the Reserve Bank to check it and half the time given back to you a minute later. Race has gone or if your "lucky: you get a betting voucher. well thanks for that! If they want to get rid of tote operators they MUST update these darleks. I have used machines all over OZ and the best by far are the WA ones. Look like a Lada runs lik a Meercedes. Fast and very user friendly with lots of bet options easy to find and put on NZ tab needs to get their act together quickly and source the better operating systems for the casual user punter or they will just give up. If your reading this TAB check out the WA machines.
  3. An interesting article on Aus Harness web that shows where each horse will have to finnish to gain a place in the final if the racing goes to plan. Well worth a read if you want to keep up with the racing tonight and follow the respective horses progresses in each heat. http://www.harness.org.au/media-room/news-article?news_id=42179
  4. Be tragic if they postpone it till Sunday and scrub the sunday Ashburton meeting Talk about rub salt in the wound
  5. Thanks that was great to watch Yes an agressive drive and killed them by 6? lengths Bettors Wish trained by former Kiwi as well Chris Ryder
  6. Not sure if you are in jest, I hope so If not how is it pointless, I would have thought every victory anywhere by any horse is worth cheering for by the connections. In this case the more wins UMC has the quicker he goes thru the grades the sooner he can take on the best at Adders Hardly pointless in fact the opposite.
  7. Yes a very clever and what I would call a gutsy drive. 99 out of a 100 drivers would have stayed on the rails or got one off and looking for a gap which looking at it seveal times may have come to at least finnish in a placing. Others would have looked very unlucky but to Blairs great credit he summed it up perfectly, had great vision and I would say a fair share of luck as well. He knew what motor it had and used it. Well done and should win a lot more on that effort.
  8. To use the free bet you must first take a fixed odds bet. The free bet sign then becomes active. Click it and then you have two options, a multi or a single bet. If you want a single bet tick the right hand box and then go to accept as you would normally do. When its confirmed it will show your possible winnings minus the free bet amount. No money is taken out of your account only the free bet amount that you have available. Not easy is it.
  9. To all those "waiting" for their free winnings off the match 3 it doesnt appear in your account. When you place a fixed odds bet a small FREE bet sign comes up underneath the bet Click on this and then you can either take a multi or a single bet with your free winnings. It only appears on fixed odds not the tote. If you win your account is credited the amount minus your free bet amount. Hope this helps if you havnt sorted it out. It is rather confusing and hard to find especially if your new to the Tab.
  10. Thriller Dee springs to mind as one of the first trotters I used to follow. Always went a good race. Any connection e;jay.
  11. Globe Derby, Adelaide did the same starting procedure for standing starts a few years ago. Maybe 2016. They did it for one or two years and then canned it. There were more false starts than the normal way which wasnt the way it was supposed to be. Both for trotters and pacers. Not really what you would call a standing start in my opinnion.

    should

So as to make it black and white which ALL rules should be and keep everybody equal and knowing what the outcome will be in such events YES!
  13. If you want to see a "Workout" drive and you havnt seen it yet watch this at the Central Otago meeting on the 2nd Jan. Balraj driven by Craig Thornly Hot fav in 7 horse filed and goes 4 back on the rails. `Week excuse given and punters left out of pocket and wondering again by Stipes. https://infohorse.hrnz.co.nz/datahr/results/010249rs.htm#Race3
  14. No probs.By far the best pace in the series. Hows that for confidence!!
  15. Yep Kiwis going great guns. Monty ran out of his skin sitting parked as well and Spankem, well another great drive by Nat. Judged the pace to perfection to make her move at the right time and then power away and Pats Delight must have 5 legs the way he sprinted twice in the race. Certainly has set the IDs up for great viewing. And carnt forget Your Spurs cruising win. Will be great battle with The Valley Im here front and centre with bourbon in hand in the lounge back in sunny Chch
  16. Loved the monte. Was an exciting race and got the treble with Grenardo at long odds. He had been trialling in the montes for several months going well. Homework pays off.Looking forward to net weeks one.
  17. Very average fields. No superstars as of previous IDs. They are injured or retired. Can see Tornado Vally in the trot and Cruz Bromac if he draws the front winning both.
  18. J L Why are you so against Monte racing. I love watching them and regularily bet on them in Aus. Becasue they race more often in Aus you can see their form and which trotters seem to grow a leg when racing in a monte. Surely a Sumer Series has to be good to following form and who are the better riders and which horses go better at monte than with a sulky. It is popular world wide and is more natural for a trotter to have a person in a saddle than pull a sulky. All horses trot when ridden so JL its time for you to give up your crusade and embrace Monte racing which I am pleaed to say is here to stay. When is Addingtons first one. Carnt wait.
  19. Have watched the replay several times and no way was Astound going to finnish in the first three he however should have finnished 4th which would have peeved off first 4 bettors. I think Butt may have thought he would finnish fourth as he was looking to his left covering the inside horse and got nailed right on the line by Bright Glow on his outside. Correct he didnt urge it over the last 30 or so meters so may have been an error
  20. Abysmal!!! Hope some of you got some of those big trifectas, fours and trebles on offer today. Onwards and upwards
  21. Yes you may have a horse next week but you may not have many punters left if everybody drove for luck all the time. There are also many clowns who drive back in the field always getting blocked and into traffic because they dont have the judgement, ability or trust themselves to have a go when they should. I would rather have a clown put a horse into the race and have ago than the clown who just sits and waits for the gap that usually doesnt appear.
  22. No heart, hair, legs or arms actuelly
  23. Another big day of grass racing today at Mot after Geraldine yesterday, if it goes ahead. Twelve races with big fields and will get very trying as the day progresses. Bound to be afew upsets and big divvies. Here are my thoughts for some today Please add as you think fit. R1 8 Machs Mareta. Has been unlucky seceral times lately. Small field will help and has been driven by B Wilmot before R2 6 Monaro Maro. Flewhome late last start. driver aworry though as dont even know who he is. R4 1 Rolling Thunder. A roughie. Change of stable and hasnt raced for a a year. Likes the grass and J Dunn up R6 14 Paduka. Bad draw but been racing way stronger fields. R7 5 Tin Roof Blues. Likes the grass and trainer going well. R8 9 Gore Bay. 2nd strart back and no Anthem in this race. R10 13 Beyond the Horizon. Foolproof trotter who just keeps comming and will go well in a tough slog R11..4 Posente cavallo. Has gate speed and a bit under rated. Hopefilly settle handy. Good luck and enjoy the warmth from a cosy fire at home or be brave and wrap up and head to Mot.
