The only thing worse than not being able to attract a decent crowd to such a day, is attracting a big crowd and them all going away disillusioned because of third world facilities that they wouldn't tolerate in their local public bar. I have no idea what Cambridge looks like these days. Putting up a few tents doesn't make up for a basic lack of infrastructure.

Mangoes does not train South Coast Ardern. Fact, the horse has been trained for the past six months by Natalie Rasmussen. Since she has taken over the training the horse has grown a hand. He is stronger, swifter, sturdier, well educated and drive by the best in Australasia. Natalie has improved the horse lengths not Mango. 
Mr Mangos be a man and give the credit for training South Coast Ardern to where it is due... Natalie Rasmussen. Will you take the all the acclaim if he wins the Cup without acknowledging Nataliers part in the horse...? Shameful.

Our racing is so pathetic these days I'm surprised anybody even notices when it's called off. Away from the little racing websites, I'm not sure anybody does. 

As an owner of a novice trotter having its 1st start, we are actually very pleased to have a mobile start. As long as the mobile doesn't go to fast, we've always found our novices are more likely to have a decent chance of racing in the field from a mobile than a stand. The very worst for a novice trotter is a standing start with race winners and unrulies behind. Can almost guarantee won't go away, especially if drawn 1. There is logic behind the fact that all juvenile trots are mobiles. Imagine if all novice pacers had do standing starts only! Having trotters doing standing starts all the time is more to do with historically only having 2 trot races/meeting and therefore needing hcps to cover the 'rating' spread. At Auckland with near equal numbers of trotters and pacers, I think we should have more equal treatment for both gaits (stand and mobile opportunities for both).

Hey Pure mate, I re watched that video over an over I cant for the life of me see how TurnItUp can get through on the inner if the horse in front him is still in front of him, KOSwing rolls up the track pretty quickly I just think it's pretty harsh on Ants, it was probably the last thing he expected KOSwing rollin up towards him, still as you say Ants could probably have a bit o fun havin a holiday 😀 as that famous line from the terminator goes 'he'll be back' LOL

Great tipping  hope you got plenty . Ants Certainly tried  hard to beat king of swing by chopping  him of early  unfortunately  it didn’t work and picking the suspension will be a decent one. King of swings run was massive after the early check and what can ya say about the mare when it really counts in the bigs ones she thrives on the hot tempos. Outstanding mare . Auckland cup auckland derby. These two big ones in aussie against the boys great result for Nathan. Her head to head against copy that must be close

Australia dishes out the penalties no matter who it is, even King of Swing's trainer Belinda McCarthy (leading Oz trainer in prizemoney won most seasons) got a year out with a positive.
