After all the conversations over the years about the mile being a poor start point at Alex park I thought it was a good even spread of leaders from all draws. Wasn’t 1—3 leading ever race . If anything it was harder for the inside runners to stop being crossed as with the extra 100m straight line run before start the outside runners have fully balanced up before the gate leaves.

After hearing Cambridge was redoing the top on their track a few weeks ago was disappointing to see that they went with the same sort of product as they had before, I would've thought with them taking the old stuff off they were in a great postion to have looked to go towards a type of top that addington use ( which I feel is the best racing surface for the horses )or even a type of shell Auckland use. Metal  base tracks are a thing of the past in my opinion but each to their own I guess .

They had a little caffeine which produced a positive, you say Mark had blue magic but yet never tested positive for it? He done his time after owning up for something he was never tested positive for, Dunn’s tested positive and try to denied it funny that

Tim horse was keen and he beat John Dunn’s horse home aswell, if he attacked and stopped before the one he attacked then maybe fair enough. But you could argue if John handed up to Tim would he wouldn’t have been flat at the top of the straight and may have found the line better than he did

Completely argee with dkc here all maidens should be thrown in and drawn randomly, when you split low rates maiden all it does is give a horse a win who probly can’t Compete well in the next grade up. All maiden should be treated as maidens and the best horse on the day wins the race . If a lower rated maiden can’t win a race so be it not all horses will win races and they shouldn’t be put in to easy low rated maiden races to get a benifit win.

72 noms for Cambridge Friday will be interesting to see  how it stacks up against Thames grass on Saturday . 

Haha, very good, im a Blue man myself as there's something about being the best and winning that appeals to me. MP and NR wont be lowering their standards any time soon as they have worked too hard to get to the top. I suspect and am reading a lot of envious posts on this thread but then that's what you get from some people in all walks of life

Lots of maybes there mate. Which is my point, nobody is accountable. If tougher penalties, all of a sudden trainers would take more care in every aspect.
Maybe Lance Armstrong was innocent, maybe someone, somewhere, sometime gave him something to ride faster? 
Oh dear, while we still have people that make excuses doping will continue, that's not maybe, that's for sure.

Not saying they tried to cheat but facts are they presented horses to race with higher levels than allowed with banned drugs in the systems , which mean yes guilty under the rules. Your very quick to say it could be feed contamination and yes well it could be but could also be just as easy to say maybe they tried to get away with something and got caught.?  All I know is that the test have tested positive for banned substances and as a trainer its your job to make sure you line up free of them, or under the allowed limits. Anytime a horse tests positive it's bad news for our racing game so the sooner the feed contamination mix ups or failed drug cheats  are out of the game the better. Again I'm not saying they cheated but they have presented horses that's have failed to comply with the rules. 

If Brosnan wanted to get a few more winners, he should just hand the reigns to someone else, no need to worry about drugs. In fact, some of his drives you might think he needs testing, not the horse.
 
Still, we know what will happen, must have been a bad batch food, ate a fence post, shared drink with a cow.

Pretty sure if this Cambridge  meeting was held at a grass track as has been the case for god know how many years I’m certain they’d have got a lot more than the 80 odd noms for the meeting. 

UDR rating is ok but doesn’t lead a full picture as Say a hobbie driver could be driving horses who would be highly ranked by many  to finish in the bottom 1/3 of the feild yet they may often drive it very well and finish say 4th 5th or 6th so has probly driven it very well to finish higher than many expect but because they haven’t run in the first 3 the udr is .000 for that drive. Some horses Barrring accident just have no chance in some fields doesn’t mean the driver has always driven it poorly

Are you suggesting that’s trainers on these types of private tracks have never thought of the leader rolling off the fence  to allow a horse to slip up the inside and create a passing lane type  effect on a private track. Surely you don’t think  trainers are that simple they never teach a horse different things
