  1. Because George Simon is contracted to call the premier meetings there. ie Wellington Cup etc.
  2. Great jumping again today with superb wins by Just Got Home and Rangatira. Can't wait for the Australian Grand National Hurdles tomorrow.
  3. Just checked the NZTR website Rev. They are up by the looks of it. Yes, up and running.
  4. Showing the correct information this morning. Good lads.
  5. The news section has been updated through out the day and this evening as well yet the change of venue gets no mention there either. It's hard to defend the indefensible MBS. It will have been brought to their attention through this thread which was the exact point of it and hopefully they will act a lot quicker when this situation occurs again. Providing crucial information in timely fashion is all about good business practice and customer satisfaction. Everyone wins that way. Cheers.
  6. Firstly MBS they are a business and if they aren't doing things right they deserve to be pulled up as this case in point. The change is venue was announced over nine hours ago. Surely this should have been updated by now on the website.. People doing their form tonight from their website will be wasting their time. We know they read things on here so they should be alerted and act accordingly. Yes had a great trip, won via the First Call but rest assured you didn't pay for it. It was the Brisbane Racing Club who provided the prize. That should not make them above reproach re the issue at hand it. I gather you feel it does. Credibilty and integrity MBS, credibilty and integrity.
  7. You are kidding aren't you.. Have a look at their website. There are no scratchings listed so none to put back in. Only the first race has a distance change 1000m to 1100m, the rest stay the same. So why so hard to update? NZTR have updated their website easily. Harry is right.
  8. Children would wonder over the track on the weekends and clime them . That's shocking use of the English language Fasthorse. Would you please tell the girl at NZTR who prepares your offerings that her spell check is not working.
  9. The Whangarei meeting has been transferred to Avondale this Saturday yet the TAB still show the meeting at being run at Ruakaka and in every race field have Ruakaka in brackets in the race name. Fixed odds betting will be out shortly and there is a huge difference in tracks especially with Avondale being a Heavy 10 at present. You are presenting false information to customers guys - keep up with the play.
  10. For goodness sake Crickeydick, you are like a dog with a bone. It is Troy Harris not Rolf Harris and a huge difference in the use of hands. Why do you care so much? On a scale of offending 1-10 it would rate a 1 when the incident is looked at in proportion to the circumstances. Hence why I brought the OZ situation into it being the extreme opposite end of the spectrum. Shades of grey and not black and white as you seem apt to avow. Perhaps I should point out to you that the rider of Dancing Diamond made no complaint whatsoever. Tecnically you are correct but if circumstances are closely looked at it is the bottom end of the scale. Minimum of three weeks you say, far cough, two weeks would be a harsh penalty given what happened. If they do proceed perhaps a fine. Settle down and wait instead of harping on every day. There are more important issues in the industry than this.
  11. Come on DYBI the last two clayton racing ministers have been as useless as chocolate teapots. They had/have no idea and probably have little interest in racing. Nathan Guy would be as rarely sighted as the Loch Ness Monster. Any enquiry would only highlight the above.
  12. Come on Sunlineboy, haven't you heard of Pegasus the white, winged stallion? By Poseidon out of Medusa.
  13. Isn't there is Racing Museum in Melbourne (Think thats where it is). Before considering a similar concept here I would go over and look at their set up, see how they operate. Discuss things with them. What has worked best, what hasn't etc what advice they can give. What are there plans going forward. ie work out the plus's and minus's of the operation.
  14. There was a lot of sand/grit being thrown back also onto those behind.
  15. Here you go: Miss August: Bridget Grylls Miss September: Tayla Wenn Miss October: Miranda Dravitzky Miss November: Rosie Myers Miss December: Aimee Taylor Miss January: Vanessa Johnston Miss February: Anna Jones Miss March: Kelly Joyce Miss April: Samantha Collett Miss May: Rowena Smyth Miss June: Alysha Collett Miss July: Danielle Johnson
  16. Cheers, however when I spoke with Des he made it clear that he is not impressed with these early exits by Brown and Bayliss and the need for the right CEO to be put in place. I just caught the end of one call with Des saying he didn't want people ringing re the reason of Bayliss's resignation, so I am assuming someone rang and asked just that? I stuck to facts, re undelivered promised results and costs/salaries of the NZRB. Pity further calls weren't made re that issue just to reinforce this aspect. As I said the heat now needs to go on the Board who select these CEO's to eusure the right person is selected as the next CEO and a complete review of the NZRB structure and staff be undertaken. Exorbitant salaries and duplicate roles in particular coming under the microscope.
  17. He trialed over them last week with Craig Thornton having gone across to ride him. Craig came back most up beat about the way Indikator is going.
  18. What a great run from Indikator a few minutes ago in Melbourne leading into next weeks Australian Grand National Hurdles. Can't wait for next week.!!
  19. A lame duck Minister Of Racing is hardly likely to hold an enquiry into a portfolio that he is resposible for overseeing. He will be hoping it blows over quickly. Interestingly Admin, the list that you provided in the first post aligns directly with I had written down as major points of concern. You are on to it.
  20. Looking at that, she changes jobs faster than she runs.
  21. Is there no end to Rolf Harris' musical talents.? Noted song-writer, singer, a virtuoso on the digeridoo and wobbleboard and now we are told, an expert fiddler.
  22. Really tough luck PP. She hasn't had much luck going for her the past twelve months has she. Hope Malala's injury comes right quickly also. Murphy's Law, something goes wrong, it's with the good ones.
  23. Crikeydick is a real stickler isn't he but common sense should always come into the equation. According to CD earlier in this thread, if another jockey touch's another jockey in a race then a foul riding charge is mandatory. If you recall about six weeks in Australia a jockey was about to fall off her mount shortly after the start and another pushed her back upright and she regained her balance and continued riding. On CD's instructions she should be charged with foul riding.
  24. You can take the boy out of Wellington Rumpole, but you can't take Wellington out of the boy. Got my Canes jersey to wear for the games.
  25. Come on Crikey you can't say that. Implying Trudy has a woolly tummy is not on. Try sheer. PS. When I read your title to your post I thought you were bragging.
