Again, Just Defy That will be my tip, not only becasue of the story but he has had 4 starts for 4 box sixes. He has box 5 and that wont worry him too much as he can jump the boxes. Yes, L J Ahern has got that Aussie one in box one, Hyper Wave, but the time of 30.40s is not liked in my books! Also in Race 8, In Tent would appreciate box 8 as he can jump and run very wide, causing him to take out half the field! And,lol, In race 3, i like the 8, Pure Dreamer based on that win last start same track, same distance. Have heard good things about this one but trainer might not like me telling. GOOD ON YOU STEVIE!! :):)

Appreciate this, as though i was one of it's own, lol, which i am not! But greatly appreciate all nice comments about this dog as the owners Mike and Mandy Fryer have been thru heaps, greyhound wise!! Lost one of their best dogs, Haere Ra, as he was run over while training down the beach. Hopefully this makes up for their loses. Thank you to all! (All 2 of you lol, so far!)

Isn't this truly a story you only hear about! The dog was run over by the lure as a puppy while training at Manawatu Raceway, went straight to Massey University with the thoughts of having to be put down quite clear, had an opperation that cost near $2K and now out of 4 starts he has had 3 wins and a fifth. The most recent of his wins being over the 520m at Hatrick Raceway in a very slick time of 29.99secs, margin 3tL and it took 3 520m races and Olympic Ace to beat his time. Now for a Friday night, you will probably wonder that this time is not fast, especially for the caliber of dogs that race, but considering that the dog is only a true c1 sprinter, HE IS DEFINITELY GOING PLACES!! Watch out for this one, as out of 4 starts, he has already proven that he is something. Good on all who are connected with this talented dog out of Just Like That from Meticulous. The whole litter is not doing too bad! Congratulations especially to Mike and Mandy Fryer and also their most trust worthy partner/trainer Steve Maher!

Mike Martin, I apologize if I have pushed any of your buttons and also for making a mistake about her "open class career". I wouldn't say i was rubbishing the dog as when she started off racing, she was probably one of my favourites to punt on, out of the boxes, straight to the front and it was over. I didn't know about the injury that Carmia sustained so i also apologize for that, BUT, my opinion is my opinion and in my own defence, I will stick with what I said and that is, is she can no longer race the way she started off, so brilliantly, then why punt on her? Ask Please, there is nothing wrong with her. She is just a bit inexperienced who will very shortly taste success. 2 or 3 more races is my bet on how long it will take. Surf Sunset has just been finding trouble and horror draws, 7,8. An improved draw will soon see a vast improvement in her form, plus the trainers name also means, "don't count me just this yet!!" Wait till she pays double figures in a field where L J Ahern has three or four runners, the trainer will have his money on the one paying the most, possibly her! In my opinion, I think your just being stupid about Thrilling Llyod!! His form line is 1 5 5 2. What's wrong with this, if you stop being greedy, bet each way instead of just a win!! That win was against a fast type in the likes of Realon Reggae at P/Nrth in a time of 21.51. the BOD was 21.34 run by Mindariva. What's wrong with you?!! As for the rest, I can only say I slighty agree with you, especiallt Carmia Matanna. For a dog/bitch(??) to have started off so great, showing so much promise then to not being able to compete at C4/C5 and now to not being able to compete at all, I think this is a bit disappointing for connections, but when connections own and train both Begineer and Matanuska, Carmia Matanna is just for fun!! In it for the voucher becasue you can guranntee that either one of the other two are going to be top3! Another dog whom i am slightly disappointed in is Validiction who looked good winning two in a row. But all we can say is every dog has their day, hopefully it comes faster then expected! Swift Fantasy should be Greyhound of the year, although we all know it will be given to Little Mother. No doubt Little Mother is one of the best greyhounds that has ever raced in NZ to date, maybe of all time, BUT, where is the publicity that she is giving? Steve Clark said don't let Greyhound racing die as the soccer slowly did. Without the publicity, and the punters willing to make a buck or two, twelve if they can pick roughies, Greyhound racing will eventually die away. Other than that, Congratz to all connections tied in with The Mother, you can guarantee that with times like that, she wont be going anywhere in a hurry!!! Cheers, Gana :) :) :)
