How racing has changed ,

Having been gainfully employed in the industry for some 40 years .

Having ridden a few winners and had the good fortune of enjoying racing throughout Australasian shores .

Today with access to the internet we can watch and enjoy world wide racing Live it’s incredible!

Presently I am trying to enjoy Newzealand racing from Japan and I too can not believe that I can’t hear the races in real time !

Have a mare going around down there , find myself hanging out for the replays , No fun there !

But .

How racing has changed !

Forty year’s ago many of us could cast our memories back and name plenty of the great Horsemen ( Jockeys) from that era .

Men who weren’t  afraid to put there feet in the irons .

Presently apart from Hugh Bowman, can anyone tell me who in the Newzealand jockey ranks can ride with that kind of power and Balance ?
