  1. I have no idea what I'm doing, but when has that ever stopped any of us before? Lot 63; Fairygem Lot 66; Fantasize Lot 74; Fatal Rendezvous Lot 79; Femme Britannia Most of the selections are in triple-digits, so I've gone for double-digits. No logic. Just have And if I'm reading things properly - which it's more than possible I'm not - but two people (Black Kirrama and High Sparrow) above have selected Lot 74; Fatal Attraction. But isn't Lot 74 Fatal Rendezvous?
  2. Not likely. I struggle enough now without complicating things any further And I'm extremely grateful to have three teammates to catch me when l fall. Or fail. Whichever is most applicable. It's a beauty.
  3. He'd be head of the Race Cafe Team draft at the moment, if there was such a thing. That'd be plot twist wouldn't it, if at the half way point you could spend some of the team winnings on draughting in a replacement player while also loosing one of your own.
  4. Littletramp could have a week off and still be in the lead
  5. Hey, at least the place divvie was enough to take a point off that Montydrum dude. Remind me what team is he in again?
  6. A couple of weeks ago l was leading Littletramp. Since then they've improved and I've gotten worse
  7. Oh Buffalo River a nose and a head away from winning at $57.40. THAT would have changed the scoring AND made my day
  8. I'd say my luck for today has gone. I can't remember the last time I've backed 4 winners in a row, and I've backed the first 4 at Te Rapa today by disregarding anything wider than 6 on the barrier draws, but really favouring the 1 or 2. Molly Bloom from barrier 6 was a VERY wide winning draw so far. Maybe the rain will change that? Go the crushers!!!
  9. 1. Te Rapa R4. 1 Best Bet 2. Te Rapa R6. 7 3. Te Rapa R7. 1, 4 4. Te Rapa R8. 11 Best Bet 5. Randwick R2. 2, 6 6. Randwick R6. 1, 2 7. Randwick R7. 1, 7 8. Caulfield R4. 2, 4 9. 10. It was always strange when one backed a chosen runner who ran down the track, but it's bracket mate [who you didn't like] gets up to save you
  11. It's actually a paper plate too, as the plastic ones are too expensive
  12. You do realise it's an empty plate? There's no food on it
  13. He hasn't been to "The Mighty Waikato" before though, has he. Unique people and a unique place If you've ever tasted Waikato Draught you'll know they ain't normal down there
  14. Let's hope the Mighty Bonecrusher can show their opponents the gate
  15. Could be an Aussie double this year, if Leap to Fame and Just Believe both acclimatise.
  16. Very nice Alf. Very nice indeed. But you know it's gonna be "and Bonecrusher races into equine immortality."
  17. Horlicks got 3 of the top 10 individually and not on top overall [yet]. Sunline got 2 on the top 10, the rest is spread around. Early days though.
  18. I noticed that. Mind you, SHOWGATE must be getting on a bit in years now. We all slow down due to Father Time
  19. Thanks John. I'm surprised. Obviously thanks to my friend PeteL for subbing for me, but those immediately below me who scored less than my sub scored for me!! I've drifted a little away from LittleTramp (isn't he going well), but that's a great pick-me-up to find I haven't drifted back into the swamp
  20. Definitely a tough run for Just Believe, and I don't know if you saw the barrier draw or not but the froggie chose the second line when there were still two front line slots available. His run wasn't easy either from the outside of the second line. I'd even drive to Cambridge in my declining state to see them two and Oscar Mk II line up against each other.
  21. I'd like to think I'd see it, but if that's what did happen l obviously didn't notice it this time
  22. Southern Star provided an upset with the froggie beating Just Believe. Callmethebreeze.
  23. Huh? How did an older post from much earlier in this thread appear with a single line post i typed hours later? *cue Twilight Zone theme song as background music*
  24. I started off with the leading Bonecrusher tally after the first few races, thanks to PeteL, and whilst it look like I'll tail the field Bonecrusher is in with a chance of a 6-0 as a team which is a huge effort. *holds breath for the last race* while noting there is still one other result outstanding too Have you done the individual tally John? I led after week 1 and have been on the drift ever since. Just wondering how far
