  1. It makes no sense whatsoever. With the Pick 6 now relegated to the trash, Quaddies are now what we're expected to go to for that healthy collect for a small or smallish spend (I loath to call it an investment). That's the direction THEY are pointing US, yet they're not keen on telling us what the payout is? I just don't understand. I think sometimes they change things just so that they can say they're changing things.
  2. I think they said at the end of today's Weigh In that he is to be a guest on next week's show. They should make it a phone-in for viewers!!
  3. That's exactly what l thought when l heard it. I couldn't believe what was being said. Crash test dummies, horses and jockeys alike. Thank goodness commonsense prevailed, but would love to know who forced the backflip but don't really expect honesty to prevail alongside the commonsense.
  4. To be fair, l'd never heard of Grins either until 2 years ago, and Googled it before the first running of the event. The name has popped up every 12 months since, and every year in between I forget what it is and have to resort to Google to remind myself. Maybe being a non-drinker has something to do with it? Or old age and/or dementia?
  5. Anton Lienert-Brown, Damian McKenzie and Stephen 'Beaver' Donald will be most disappointed with you. Like most great ideas, Grins was born when a bunch of mates sat around having a drink and a yarn. Beaver had invited Damian & Anton over for a BBQ for lunch, which turned into dinner, which turned into a long night of jokes and banter. And as the sun was setting and the sausages were sizzling, the lads starting talking about Grins – an RTD brand that stands for all things good and grin-worthy, inspired (of course) by Damian’s trademark cheeky grin before he takes a kick.
  6. Spelt and spelled are two different spellings of the past tense of the verb “spell.” The spelling tends to vary based on the version of English you're using: In US English, “spelled” is standard. In UK English, both “spelled” and “spelt” are acceptable. It's a shame Imperatriz was retired and not just spelt
  7. Like Jimmysstar? Oh, that's right, he didn't win
  8. It appears nobody. There's been lots of talk over the years, but no talk of accountability.
  9. Since we're posting and boasting our wins, here's mine. It closed @ $1.05 so I was well in BET RECEIPT 6. Derek The Jet @ 1.08 FFTOP3 M22 Melton Harness (Vic) R7 Singlesx1 Total Stake:$1.00 Potential Return$1.08
  10. https://www.thepress.co.nz/nz-news/350240869/how-unprecedented-investigation-harness-racing-corruption-collapsed Here's hoping.
  11. Bonecrusher was an extremely-cheap unfashionably-bred racehorse that nobody else wanted to buy. He did okay Team Bonecrusher were a bunch of ragtag tipsters nobody else wanted to team up with. Thrown together by SNM, they did okay too
  12. I thought you'd got up too. What a finish, to both the race and the comp. A nose in it at the end.
  13. They were going okay in the rain at Taupo
  14. Is it a matted root structure? Or a rooted mat structure?
  15. Even the mighty Randwick had to pull the pin early today
  16. What happened at Randwick? I see their last two races were abandoned too.
  17. They're winning tickets he's borrowed of somebody else
  18. I'm just thankful those of us fighting for the main prize don't have to be concerned by the aggregates of those fighting for The Plate.
  19. I'm looking for a reason to do so Using non-approved darts?
  20. Good grief. Ellerslie was going to be my big collect for the day too
  21. Randwick R6 #12 Fawkner Park a late scratching too?
  22. Yes, you lost a bundle with the relegation at the same time I benefited by being promoted from second to first. You should not have put me into the fence And since I follow League and not Union, it's what we call a 12 point try
  23. Cheers SNM. It looks like a day when sadly some of us might lose both runners in a race somewhere. Let's hope late scratchings don't influence the final result in either Grand Final today. But as the old saying goes.....it is what it is.
  24. Late scratchings; So if we lose one selection it goes onto the fave? If we already have the fave we go onto the second fave? And if we lose both selections we go onto the fave and the second fave?
