kdt reacted to poundforpound in SHOCKING
Shocking indeed, if it’s true
I’d be just as shocked by the RIB using Steve Symon of Meredith Connell ( Auckland ) to prosecute the case though
This is not murder, it’s animal cruelty, and whilst it’s reprehensible if true, does it really warrant the hugely expensive use of Meredith Connell……in other words is there no limit to the RIBs penchant for spending money the industry doesn’t have ?
An RIB salaried investigator could have prosecuted this surely

I guess they might have taken it down and sent it to Rangiora where it obviously didn't arrive in time for today's meeting.

kdt reacted to Insider in The best bit of horsemanship that I have seen in a long time!
Did you see Wirimu Pinn’s horsemanship after the Auckland Cup.
Returning to scale Uareastar jacked up, so Wirimu slipped off the side of her and immediately removed the mare’s tongue tie.
That was horsemanship of the very best.

kdt reacted to Ragamuffin in Billy Pinn
Mmm, who doesn't have "faults", many unclean hands in any part of the industry, some known others hidden A few have done a lot worse. I reiterate, if there's a known issue, DEAL with it in an appropriate manner with POSITIVE interaction. Jealousy is a fugly trait & usually has hate following right behind. IMO, LEAVE THESE KIDS ALONE & offer POSITIVE encouragement not denegrate. Some come from less than desirable backgrounds & can be supported with positive tutorlage. Geez, he's a good rider & could go a long way with the right guidance.
This industry "heirachy" may think they're a law unto themselves but we do have a Human Rights Act in NZ. Some need to take better care of those under their umbrella, already lost a few, no one wants blood on their hands having messed with peoples heads surely?

Kind hands and they just run for him, he’s a huge asset to racing
That was a great G1 win
The RIB and JCA should be ashamed of the way they’ve bullied and abused the kid
Thank god NZTR didn’t cave in to the RIB’s ludicrous demands they take his licence away permanently
It’s high time the RIB offered some resignations over the ongoing abuse of this kid

kdt reacted to poundforpound in Inca collapses further
So last week Judge Neave throws out all but one single race fixing allegation now, and there’s no betting irregularities or money trail on that one race ……yet the media stooges say nothing
C’mon media, don’t be spineless, report the facts as this matter grinds on to the inevitable collapse ….if I know about it you must know too
10 million plus wasted, absolutely wasted, because there never was any evidence to substantiate the race fixing, PEDs, and blood doping allegations

So why nominate, accept and scratch? Just bill the owner, no problem. And besides, the worst affected race was the last, over 1600, where draws are of little consequence.

Berri please stop posting this shit in the racing forum...I have tolerated it until now...no more...post it in Main Street where it belongs.

As long as industry participants lie down and be walked on the so called EXPERTS will keep collecting their fat salaries and raping the industry until it is well and truly Donald Ducked. But industry participants need to stand up and stand united for anything to change and that WONT happen. If the people who put on the show owners, trainers and jockeys refused to front up MAYBE people in the decision making places would start to listen...as it would hurt them in their industry pockets as it is now they get a free pass for the Mickey Mouse show to continue on down the road.

Isn't that the same all over the country? Not just Wingatui. Reasons are the same nationwide aren't they?

Great win by an obviously tough as nails mare after two colic surgeries...she certainly deserved a Group 1...congrats to all concerned.

kdt reacted to chevy86 in Wonderful Result
Congratulations to Ken Kelso and the team for Levante's Telegraph win. Hopefully it will expunge some of the residual bitter taste of the disgraceful Magic Briar relegation at the hands of a dreadful JCA team that was led by someone who still has too much say in our industry. JMO of course.

kdt reacted to diesel in Ellerslie a no show
Yes, back to work for most tomorrow may have had an effect. Great to see Kumara have a good day, they have had had their difficulties in recent years so good on them. Would also have to say that the races at Riverton on New Years day was awesome, good crowd, family and fun atmosphere and dead 5 track.

Feel so sorry for Cliff Goss with the loss of Gold Watch...so sad as he obviously loved the horse and he is a great old guy what a tragic shock...commiserations to all the connections ....and then on the other side of the coin to see the elation of Sam Weatherly and the Weatherly family...just shows all the emotions this game can give in one race.It can be bloody tough some times.
