  1. I would have thought 3 meetings a week in July would be a very good start given that it will be the middle of Winter. Many on here (Racecafe) over the years have expressed the view that there should be no racing at all in June/July. I think we will all love the return of racing in New Zealand as soon as possible.
  2. Funny thing is Rusty I also live in Christchurch and sometimes I thought he must have been giving the forecast with his blinds closed.
  3. Talkback caller "Andy the weatherman"
  4. Sad to read in The Press this morning of his death. RIP
  5. This is an interesting read in regards to the arrangements the HKJC have made to allow racing to go ahead in the context of the Coronavirus outbreak in China https://racingnews.hkjc.com/english/2020/01/24/special-arrangement-for-chinese-new-year-raceday-on-27-january-2020/?b_cid=EWRNRNE
  6. I'm not complaining. Bordeaux Le Rouge. Thank You, very nice.
  7. This has to be a story that goes out to mainstream media. Go Kozzie
  8. Totally agree. You only have to look at HK/ Singapore/Japan, it's almost one barrier assistant per horse.

    Kumara

I will just throw a question in here. Is the Kumara Racing Club no longer in a financial position to be able to race? I have no idea but this all seems rather strange. In saying that I'm pleased there will be a race meeting at Greymouth to give everyone a go.

    Kumara

So as others have said, it was inspected and good to go a couple of weeks back. The change is due to the rain falling now? Surely if it was good to go a proviso should have been included in regards to any future significant /substantial rainfall leading up to the meeting. I smell BS.
  11. Stewards report advises that an inquiry was adjourned until a later date with the starter stood down for the last two races.
  12. This is just shocking news. Is that 3 stallions this year at Cambridge? Very very sad.
  13. The suppression order is in place to protect his identity due to matters that are also suppressed. Remember the law and justice are often a long way apart. Wouldn't like to speculate re PFP but the age is about right.
  14. Great for the owners/trainer/jockey but Group 1. Someone is cracking jokes. Thoughts?
  15. No go tonight folks due to the riots and general unrest in Hong Kong. This is the second meeting at Happy Valley this season to be abandoned because of the riots. How long before the Chinese army just rolls on in? not much longer I suspect.
  16. He has had a number of issues with his back so not too sure where things are at for him at the moment in regards to this
  17. I was wondering if the current unrest in Hong Kong was going to impact on racing. Well, tonight it is. I think Happy Valley is more vulnerable to this unrest than out at Shatin. https://racingnews.hkjc.com/english/2019/09/18/cancellation-of-happy-valley-race-meeting-on-18-september/?b_cid=EWHPJSC__

    TAB SITE

Managed to get some bets on an hour or so back but results seem to be "on hold". Nothing on site for races run 30min plus ago
  19. Not taking sides here, but have you made direct contact with Graeme?. If not you could try that first before going any further on Racecafe. Just a suggestion.
  20. It was a very good win. Always highly competitive that race. I took the 14 and 3 offered early this afternoon
  21. Forget NZ TAB when it comes to Hong Kong. Go straight to the HKJC website and you will get most of what you are looking for.
  22. Don't get your point SD The system kept saying unsuccessful try again when in BB's case the bets were being accepted as was the case once for me. TAB needs to sort it
  23. Was trying to get a bet on at Tauranga and system kept saying error, bet unsuccessful etc etc. hit accept a few times still unsuccessful. The laugh is that despite all this, the bet is now on. So one of my click accept must have worked, go figure.
  24. I live about 2km from the track and it is absolutely hosing down and showing no signs of easing up. A postponement has to be an option they are looking at
