  1. I do not have any official info but just wondering if part of the deal to show Singapore racing here is that this sort of coverage is required by the STC. Agree with your comments. Most racing from HK leaves Singapore for dead.
  2. Given the events of the last week I'm somewhat reluctant to be critical of any jockey but surely the way Jim Cassidy rode Cantonese in the Perth Cup has to be questioned. I wonder what the instructions were to him prior to the race? Surely it cannot have been to do what he did. Any thoughts. Didn't have a bet so not talking through the pocket. The ride of Lucas Camiilleri on Lopov probably wasn't much better.
  3. I'm sure there will be an explanation to go with this, but how, when your horse is in a photo for 3rd(ends up 4th) can you not weigh in. What was he thinking or was it just a simple case of him not thinking? Didn't have a bet but you would be real dirty if you had a first 4 going with Truth.
  4. Very good jockey, but you just cannot go around doing what he did and not expect hefty consequences. The right result in my opinion.
  5. Furthermore, you might like to contact the RIU rep in your part of the country as I'm sure they can do something about it as this person is licenced (I assume?).
  6. I agree with Horse1. If this is true and can be substantiated with FACTS then go ahead and name and shame the bugger. That seems to be the general rule by which the Sheriff runs this site.
  7. What day are Wanganui running the Bryan Martin Farewell Dash?
  8. Thanks Taildoff, nice price. I reckon that horse would go well over 4000m if NZ had such a flat race!!. I backed off a little on Marea Alta when the rain stopped but Cottonwood Sky well and truly covered "expenses".
  9. ARA's horse for me and Cottonwood Sky for a rough place.
  10. I just said to name a few, yes I could go on and on. Pokies is a very good one though. Absolute disgrace what has been allowed to go on in that sordid business without prosecution of many who should have been prosecuted.
  11. A very good jock no doubt, but there is something quite distasteful about him still being able to ride having brought racing into such disrepute. Nikolic was dispensed with pretty quickly (and rightly so) and Oliver should have been dealt with prior to cup week. I dont know what it is about some jocks, fabulous on the back of a horse but no good with their feet on the ground. Then again there are other sectors of society with poor records as well. Lawyers, accountants and teachers just to name a few.
  12. Walker obviously had a point as I see Rawiller has coped a suspension of 14 days minus 4 (for good behaviour!!). He will not ride again at the MC Carnival. He is really bummed about not riding on Emirates Day next Saturday.
  13. I asked this question on here a couple of weeks back having not heard him for a while. Someone came back saying he was on holiday.
  14. Like her as a trainer and you can always rely on her to inject lots of enthusiasm when the press/TV are asking questions of her.
  15. Only just caught the end of Andrew Bensley talking on radio this afternoon. I think I have it right that Craig Williams will now ride Green Moon after a discussion with Gai Waterhouse in regards to Pierro. Waterhouse will now need to find a lightweight rider if I have it right.
  16. Anyone know where Pete has got to?. Hasn't been on air for a few weeks now.
  17. I'm feeling just a tad sick after seeing the result. Backed the winner for a place!!!
  18. As expected he has lodged an appeal and is also seeking a stay of proceedings to allow him to get back riding until the appeal is heard.
  19. Pottsie. If O'Leary from Wanganui is training them then that's who it is. If you have info to the contrary then say so if not shut up.
  20. We have a few issues here from time to time but race 3 number 6 at Yarmouth (coming in during the early hours of tomorrow morning) probably takes some heading off. Poor commentator, hope he gets all the "likes" out.
  21. He is indeed the son of Greg. Rode his first winner in country Victoria last weekend
  22. Well done Lisa, a great effort by you and your "support crew".
  23. Hope the weather turns out to be not as bad as forecast. Raining now and supposed to for the next week. It will be survival of the fittest if this is the case.
  24. Full details are on http://www.hkjc.com A good outcome for him in my opinion. Hope the door stays open for him to go back there. They are allowing him to ride out the last 2 meetings of the HK season this Wed/Sun
  25. Advice duly noted. Leigh, I know you can read. Now tell me where have I got on James McDonald's case in what I have posted here or the previous thread. Given that his positive has been written about in the press and spoken of on radio do we just ignore this on Racecafe? He is like it or not a high profile individual on the racing scene. I repeat again I rate the guy highly and I'm sure when this is all sorted he will bounce back no worries.
