Yeah, I liked the fact/hype that a leading GALLOPS commentator was given the honour of calling not just a big race, but nine of them...
If its Ashburton next year I hope T.Lee is there, I remember there was some talk about a Wyndham Jewels...Imagine Davey Mac doing that...
On Monday 8th March the UHF (Free to Air) broadcast will become a 24 hour a day, 7 days a week service.
From Monday 8th March both Sky Digital Channel 36 and UHF (free to air) viewers will have access to exactly the same Trackside broadcast including programming such as Racing Replay, Trackside at the Trials and Racing Round the World.
- TAB NZ
I didnt ask for a lecture, are you mad?
I am a casual punter and watch Trackside, placing a bet is funding the TAB and although not as much as having a Sky subscription is still something.
It is not my fault that NZRB cannot manage their funds.
I have no need for a sky sub and therefore am "Moaning" about the new goings, but reactions will always be mixed.
@ Smoken Up - Totally Agreed.
Am I the only one who hates the new channels?
I do not have Sky TV and rely on "Trackside" for the viewing of races.
What disgruntles me the most is the "Superticker" that shows the next race for betting; however the race is not shown on the channel (Trackside) itself.
Today (Sunday) greys are running at Auckland, 18 mins between each race, instead of showing a Aus gallops meeting they show race replays from Fridays trots at Alex Park....
Your Thoughts?
Im not too keen on the new Trackside, having no sky tv is annoying and meant that I along with others relied on Trackside, Now it shows the next race odds but dosent show the race, which is annoying.
