Got the TFA, but 4th horse would have been much better  for me 
Also got the Barrytown/Clyde/ Rachmaninov TFA as well which I thought was short .

Blenheim (grass track) popular this week .

Revolution is my pick race 3 but quite an open field I think.

Jimmy Carter in today at Cromwell, as favorite, won this course in 2022. Hasn't had much success otherwise on grass . John Morrison driving him again.

Katherine nearly got another at Banks,  that 3.09 3rd at Addington few starts ago showed she's very handy. Those mares races are coming up and would not be out of place in the fields

I like Katherine for that race , pretty much same money. Sprint race so she's a good swooper.

Why should Rachmaninov have trial  before next start, it's a 250 plus  race veteran ?

The first horse outside America to run under the 2.00 minute mile . At Addington in November 1938 in 1.59.4 .
Remembering it was still hard to break 2 minutes even up to the 1970's.  unthinkable in 1938. 
And he did it without Hopples !! an amazing feat of training . what an amazing pacer . (Today 99 % of them still need hopples to keep balanced) 
One of the greatest Feats of All time in Australia and NZ by an All-time great.. 
 

Thanks for the details,  think it's hard to fix a race winning horse when clearly in best form. To fix a horse to lose is a different matter .

Alabar are giving you the opportunity to breed a foal with only the services fees payable . There will be no vet fees nor grazing fees until the service fee is payable.  It only applies to the mares on the list attatched. Details are in the attachment.

The comments recently have been all over the place, from no comments to the shit aussie 20m 6th from 12 starters shit to ran on from back. 
I backed Vow And Declare win and top4 on Saturday, comment gave him no chance. I saw his previous race and in my opinion he was just warming up over the 2000m on a sift track ,which he is not suited to. Saturdays race was 2200m on a Good 4. Last start on a Good 4 he finished 4th (flying) at Flemington (Cascadians last win before retiring). The only thing that surprised me was why he wasn't in the 2 mile race earlier in the day. (Being a Melbourne Cup winner might put his weight too high?).

Have to check comments on HRNZ, TAB site lacking comments for harness . All comments  that they post for races are not helpful anyway. Be betting less on gallops from now on. Have to watch race replays to find blackbookers.

To me you want a calender that encourages South Island horses to travel North,  Blenheim  and Nelson 2 day meet)  followed  the next week by a 2 day meeting at Manawatu.To me an owner and trainer would be enticed for traveling for 4 races and a combined stake of excess of 40k. It would possibly also entice Manawatu trainers to Blenhiem and Nelson  giving a better incentive to own a harness horse in the Central Districts.

Word has it that the time standard for qualifying will be scrapped and it will be based upon the horses ability to stay gaited. This would mean the Tuesday low rated stakes meetings would go ahead. ( But gather will have the same ratings hike as other more staked meetings) . This will allow every horse bred an opportunity to collect stake money, which may indeed help increase breeding numbers and confidence. Wish them luck with this.

That's whats going to happen when they scrap the qualifying time for qualifying a horse. A lot of slow horses might get a chance to race and then a lot more sit sprint races you will see.
