I would question her decision on her original move out of the 1-1 , being an advantagest position. However once making the move and desire to lead negates that. Not getting the lead takes two drivers, the one leading and her .It made the race and best horse won.

Hope for the best for your two favorites, I like the White's two horses up against Borrikane, if that can help with the first 4"s. Looks like 2 or 3 of the inside runners against Always B Coxky should be there but there must be a roughie in that first four pop up, think it's just finding it . Think 10 or 13( dam was good on grass). Add in 2, 3, 8. Budget allows throw in 9 and 12 , good trainers for the grass.

It would be nice however for the TAB to put it on the UHF system for non - sky customers . They had Cup Day ( Harness) on channel 200 for the big races. We could have watched both the Hastings main race and the Everest. Gather Melbourne Cup will be on one of the main channels but getting the Cox Plate and Caulfield Cup for an hours coverage would be good.

The rule has been in for 6 years there, surely all leading trainers should know about by now. Heard Emma Stewart has posted a response on social media , trying to cop out of it.

I thought the rule was 2 days in Australia, remember Mark Pudon had Amazing Dream withdrawn from the Ladyship because of that.

As I mentioned in another thread , it should have been split 50/50 between owners and breeders, then at least half the money would be used most breeding seasons. Owners of the good / intermediate mares will probably sell back to the big studs, thus studs get the benefit. The really good mares will likely move on to Aussie and USA and lose that benefit. Only owner/ breeders will retain the mares. Going by calculations about 250 fillies and mares races will or should be scheduled: re . $400K this 23/24 season. Hope that becomes a reality. The other factor we might have to look at is what the filly goes for at the yearling sales or whether it wasn't sold there. Studs have easy access to weanling and yearling sales. No weanling sale at Chch anymore leaving Southern breeders out. I nknow people might say Gavelhouse but people won't travel 200km or more to take a real look.

Winder if there is life still at Forbury going by the latest developments pending in South Dunedin. Kettle Park across the road is being eroded by the sea, and council is pre- planning removing homes from the area. Surely the land is of no use , other than what is already there until it is permanently flooded.

It would be nice to see a NZ bred sires only trotters section, , there's enough stallions to fill it up. One race every month and 4 of those should be worth 30,000 + This would help continue the diversity and keep the Sundon , Monarchy, Pegasus Spur lines active.
