So you're contributing what to the discussion exactly?

I've presented a well reasoned argument as to why the treatment should be restricted to "out of competition" use, and backed it up with documentation from the product suppliers admitting that it has similar effects to a other restricted pain blocking anti-inflammatory products.

One poster with apparently no scientific knowledge, considers my comments libelous but when asked for an example disappears.

The interesting thing is that the one regular poster with a vested interest in defending the treatment hasn't come forward to counter any of the points I've made.

One can only conclude despite the howls of protests from the public gallery, that I may be on the right track.

Ore might also conclude from.this  post of yours that  everyone has given up  trying  to have a rational discussion  with you. I don't blame them.

Kindly point out a single libelous word that I've posted and I'll gladly apologise to the libeled party!

    That's right. There aren't any.

If you want to bait someone you're going to need to play in the shallower end of the pool!

If  NM is playing in the shallow end based on your verbose nonsense your in the deep.end looking for a lifeguard but probably in denial  about that as well.

I wish you well in your crusade but disagree with your whole approach to this issue.

Whilst it is good that the discussion is to take place it will amount to nothing. The first thing that does need to happen is that Mick Guerin needs to disqualify himself from the segment as he is well known to be biased towards a certain stable. The second thing that needs to be done is to get a Vet who is not associated with the industry (or participants) to give facts either for or against. Integrity needs to be shown by all involved in this segment or it will amount to nothing but a charade. Too many big players are involved in ACS and they won't want to see it stopped.

IMHO I believe it should be stopped until the facts have been proven as to the welfare of the horse and the legality of it are proven. The sport at the top level is haemoraging which is affecting those at the grass roots who love the industry but don't have the money to compete on the same level. It is also affecting the perception of the sport by the bread and butter people - the punters. Welfare of the horse followed by integrity of the sport have be at the forefront of any discussion.

So given above were you happy with TBS's handling of the ACS issue

It’s an animal welfare issue and because of that it should be banned. As for any vet ever been objective - I haven’t met one yet.

Look your making a bigger idiot of yourself with posts like this. They had a retired  and most respected Vet with no ties to HRNZ or RIU who told it as it is . Its not illegal and even someone with an IQ of 20 could understand his explanations and answers to GO's questions.  A look back at all your posts suggest you have some major issues with a certain stable and other bodies of influence.

The fact pointed out was about the one chapter still missing from the All Stars legacy.

What the heck have Elsu and Changeover got to do with the price of eggs?

You really do have trouble keeping up with the conversation sometimes don't you!

The fact that you raise the matter and the way in which you did comes across as casting  aspersion's on team AS. Likewise G Smalls superstars were not much chop either or as you put it none of them were successful sires but yet both were very talented horses.

Tell us why you think the AS team have not uncovered a successful sire, you seem to think you know a bit

The last bit ill ignore as its you getting a touch personnel which is not something i engage in unless really provoked

Lazarus has one very significant piece of history to overcome if he's going to make the grade as a sire...

Despite the endless stream of superstars to emerge from the All Star barn not a single one has gone on to become a successful sire.

Maybe Lazarus, Vincent or Ultimate Machete will turn the tide.

    Watch this space.

Else and Changeover never really made it either and they were not trained by All Stars

If you can find GOOGLE on the internet click on it and write Autologous Conditioned Serum that should im saying SHOULD help you understand it.

I would suggest you watch before you write stupid stories about ACS.

I do hope they invited you to comment Lee given your practical knowledge on the subject

you are the stupid one - if Greg O'Connor only promotes the business owned by Mark and Natalie on the Box Seat he is opening the industry to ridicule when you see how it is performance enhancing. It had better be a balanced story.  Horses don't sit 3 wide all the way outside other very good horses and then run away without it being performance enhancing - and how many break down because they cant cope with the workload - the ULTIMATE question Greg should be asking

No point in you watching the program then as you have already made up your mind

Conspiracy theory - did the same mob who gave us the new, superb, super-duper TAB web site also design the  new, superb, super-duper web site for HRNZ?        Or are the similarities only a co-incidence?      I suppose we will never know - unless the Greyhounds suddenly appear with a new, superb, super-duper site in a couple of months!

Lloyd , your wit is priceless

I appreciate there is a shortcut to infohorse buiilt in to new sight but it is also sitting in the signed in area. USA lets you get so far then wants your membership number to proceed . A cunning plan methinks  .Maybe we all may end up HRNZ members  !

Who knows these days although of all the conspiracy theories i have seen this one seems a non starter given the management at HRNZ

One of the major objectives of the revised rating system was to offset the drop off in breeding numbers, with increased retention and participation of the existing racehorses.  Is it not working?

Personally I think the current rating system has overall provided a better betting product than what existed prior to its implementation.

As to the all stars. This year the all star udr is currently .4799,last year it was .4762.    Prior to the new handicapping system in 2015 their udr was.4406 and in 2016 .5063.

The figures indicate they are just as successful under the current system,as they were under the  previous one.

As I've said  before, decisions should be based on facts and figures, not on personal opinions based on whats best for those expressing them,or who can generate the most media coverage to push their agenda.

Why didn't the person writing the article quoted above give us facts and figures to back up the opinions being expressed. I'm guessing its because he never even thought to ask them. Pretty average researched article in my opinion. It would have been  interesting to know what the answers were.

Outstanding  bit of research. Best post this season on here for authenticity

  13. HRNZ website upgrade tomorrow

    30 April 2019

Harness Racing New Zealand is excited to launch our newly redesigned website tomorrow morning, Wednesday 1 May 2019.

The website will upgrade from 9am on Wednesday 1 May, with a full migration expected to be completed around lunch time.

Users can expect to have some disruption to the use of the website during this time, and we appreciate your patience while we bring you a new and improved version of the HRNZ website.

Following feedback from the industry, we wanted to move with the times and give our users a website with a clean new look, a fully responsive layout on all platforms and an overall better user experience.

A responsive design will transform itself meaning it will adjust itself to fit the device you are using. This means that you will no longer have to zoom in to read content on the website.

Whilst the website will have a fresh new look and be easier to use on multiple devices, the information you receive will remain the same with the added bonus of more Punter Information.

One can only hope it will be more successful than TAB disaster but the jury is out already.

Reason number 27 for why there is off shore leakage:

For the Cup, Sportsbet (Australia) have UMC at $71's currently.

It should be at that to actually get  a start in this years Cup IMHO. Its obviously had unsoundness issues and has not really beaten anything like an open class pacer yet but good luck to connections. The South needs a new top liner to follow
