  1. just to let folks know Local vet and top bloke Des Oram lost his battle with Cancer this morning. Im sure a few will know Des through race meetings etc. Will post again when i find out when his funeral details Sympathies to Jan and kids.
  2. we had our colt done with x-rays for the festive. I think alot more people were interested in him for that fact, All the colts at Archer Park were done, ok its cost about $1000, but i think that was an advantage. What i dont agree with is though, if a buyer wanted to view xrays, they had to pay for a 'vet consult' And of course in the ring the auctioneer couldnt actually say it had good xrays or not. We never got the top price for the sale (as expected) but I can brag that we sold the top price Mr Nancho
  3. hi, after a gelding paddock mate to buddy up with soon to be weaned colt. Post and rail fencing, will be boxed next to the colt over winter when need be. Experienced home. Preferably id like one i can graze for a few months and then give back. Located in Te Aroha. thanks
  4. i use alot, although with farming i use all of them but http://www.yr.no Not very often wrong, especially on rainfall tallies
  5. at home by Mr Nancho, out of a woodborough mare, this is her 4th foal, two to the races, both winners. Hopefully the mare will hold to Mr Nancho again, was served again the other week, so a bloody late foal next season, but worth it if the trial performers can do it on the race track.
  6. today just after 11 at the grand tavern, te aroha

  9. but Shane Udy is good with wayward horses. Hes at Te Kauwhata.
  10. if you email me, i can put you in contact with the lady that i use, i have a mare that suffers from it too, Its a battle, especially this time of year with the increased chance of foot abesses. The oil i use is a natural anti imflamitory and pain killer, i did alot of reserch before trying it, but it was my last resort before going onto bute for long term use, The mare is in foal, so my decision was not taken lightly as a dead foal is no use, but unfortunately it will be the mares last year. The farrier cant beleive the results i have had with it, and if he's happy im happy. Costs about $40 for 375mls, but does last 6-8 weeks, I put it on twice a day for the first 2 weeks, and then down to once a day
  11. im a little confused My mare went to Mr Nancho as a discounted fee (cash), so we know their LFG is not available, but the way i read the first few threads, is if they dont return the stallion returns Im at risk of not being able to register the foal? Or is this thread for LFG only and if you mare losses the foetus, you might not be able to claim your LFG.
  12. ill be watching this thread. Ive got a mare infoal to Mr Nancho, and its got no LFG
  13. the mare is infoal to Mr Nancho, and John Gray's full brother should be making his debut soon.
