  1. They were having major problems with pool sizes / results / commingling etc with the tab last night.. Wasn't following the trots but major problems when I was following Mooney Valley.
  2. Such a joke whoever makes these rules, I see in the majority of states in Aus they have no problem running 5-6 dog staying fields with vacant boxes... oh well just replace it with another 8 dog C1 sprint... YAWN, how boring.
  3. Bolted in last night at the valley so will be scratched I'm 99.9% sure. Not a horse I will be laying any time soon! One to follow for sure.

  5. I guess you didn't see that race at Bendigo a week and a bit ago. TAB paid out on the 1 dog, but the decision was overturned and the 6 dog got the nod and winning prize money... I'm sure there would have been a lot of people that had the 6 to win / in a tri yet would be none the wiser. Wonder what head office would say if you backed the 6, surely they would have HAD to pay out on it as well.
  6. Place pool of under 8k... Doesn't take a massive bet on it for it to drop that much in such a small pool... The $2.8 win final field fav paid 2.2 on the tote, so it works both ways. Pretty uncalled for comments WhoKnows, unless you have some proof of what the pool size was when it was $1.7? Another genuis conspirator.
  7. Totally agree, just watched the replay a couple of times and I didn't see any marring until after the finishing post.
  8. Go easy on him mate, can't be easy dealing with small man syndrome.
  9. I would have showed them replays of Red Moova Hoova / Enazuma etc etc doing this REPEATEDLY without anything happening, it's a free for all after the line as far as I'm aware.
  10. Always the way eh, seems easy afterwards! You won't be able to bet on any Australia markets ( NZ is included in that ) until your account is verified. Not sure about withdrawals. If you want to find out about more info go to https://kyc.betfair.com/australian_markets.html You will also need to take a photo on your phone or some device of your debit/credit card I'm pretty sure. Get it sorted and you will never look back! Leakage FTW!

He's still there, in fact he's taken on a new roll. 'Chief Operations Officer/Animal Welfare Manager'... Greg Kerr = a complete myth, I don't agree with your comments the job isn't necessary tho Aqua, it's more than needed if the industry wants to still be running for $$ in 2020, he just hasn't enforced or changed anything and I'm assuming he's on a decent wage. I emailed him about the Mcinerney dogs and his reply wasn't that of someone that wants to clean up the industry / mass breeding that certain people do.
  12. You will need to get a license or passport + a bank statement or bill with your address / betfair username written on both and get it stamped by a justice of peace, not as hard as it sounds and well worth the effort. I just went into the police station. As for the downsides of using betfair, I'm yet to encounter one, apart from regretting not laying off on tiger woods to lock in a $900 profit shown in my photo below. He ended up choking the last round and I ended up with zilch! You also need to wait 2-3 days for withdrawals to clear but it's well well worth it. Good luck with it JT, there's some great information on the web to learn off, betfair will take your gambling to a whole different level, trust me.
  13. This means someone in the world, ( could be me ) wants to back Clinton to be the next president and they want to put $1296 on it. It's down to $778 now so it's a pretty active market in the scheme of things and how long before it will be resulted. Sports like T20, NBA, NFL, NRL all have decent liquidity and fluctuate wildly at times, they are a traders heaven generally!
  14. $5 min bet, the blue column is if you want to 'back' Clinton, the Red is if you want to bet against her. ( someone else wants to 'back' her ) The amount underneath the price is how much you can put on. Eg if you wanted to back her currently you could only get $15 at $1.94 and $199 at $1.93. If you wanted to lay Clinton at $1.95 for the $90 available you would make $94.74 and betfair take 5% of your WINNING's only. It's an ever changing market and you have the ability to lock in a profit if the prices change in your favour. Eg if you backed her at $2.5 you could now lay off at 1.95 and you have made a profit regardless of the outcome. There's been close to 6 mill matched on the next president market alone, after trump lost the first state he got out to $10+. Betfair is friggen awesome, even if your only betting $50 a week, your chances of coming out with a profit is far far greater than taking NZ tab prices. Live betting on sports is awesome, the markets aren't suspended 80% of the time like our monopoly, just be careful with the tv delay! Betfair is always one step ahead. Hope that isn't to confusing!! They have some great videos to learn about it on their website, I highly recommend it.
  15. Some massive money traded on betfair for the next president, I've seen Trump as low as 5.5 which is quite amazing really, geez it would be 'interesting' to say the least if he got in. Can't see it happening personally and I imagine at the current odds he's a decent lay but funnier things have happened!
  16. Great post, and so so true... Any comments @DaveyBoy ??
  17. I've challenged you more than enough times to prove your statements correct as I completely disagree with you as you know, but from what I've witnessed your all talk, and you don't bet on the tote so your prices won't be effected so you honestly have nothing to lose. Back to the topic on here tho, a harness racing 'strike' is the last thing your industry needs if trends in Aus are anything to go by. If your not 'in the know' it must be pretty hard to figure out who's trying. I'm talking about the market share they have, it's 24% in Australia, now I won't do all the research for you but you can go and compare it to your beloved code and see who's coming 2nd to the thoroughbred code.
  18. We could start a whole different thread on what these "far better things" are... I'll start with a couple tho 1) Animal Welfare ( well nothing's changed recently and we still have major issues ) 2) Local Turnover ( ditto above )
  19. Just means they will schedule less and less harness meetings and more greyhound meetings, especially in Aus where greyhound racing is thriving compared to the harness code. Interesting to see the dog code has 24% of the TAB turnover in Aus... Just goes to show how poorly the harness code is doing eh Brodie!
  20. Not if your able to lay off on betfair. There are races every day on all codes where the TAB is a bit slow to check what's happening on betfair and your able to back them at a higher price on the NZTAB. For example there was a harness race yesterday in Aus where people were wanting decent amounts on a horse at 3.5 and you could still back it at 4.6 on the tab. The horse ended up winning but even if it didn't you still have a free bet on regardless depending on your staking plan.
  21. Neil Davis timed the race being run in 1.23.08... Quite a staggering difference and I know who I'd trust.
  22. Aus was 2.4 on betfair NZ 2.7 and the draw 4+
  23. I should get a decent price on Beautide according to this thread then!
  24. I personally don't think he should be half the price of the beautiful Perth filly now with D.Weir. Not sure of the plans with her but she looks like she could be pretty special. Especially if Mahuta lines up in the Guineas ( good lay ) but means it should be a genuine tempo.
