yep owned by Mr and Mrs Geard. Hence the G G.
Craiglee horses all owned by Stan Johnston.
Where do these people get all their money from?

Why would they ask questions? The two tracks offered totally different racing surfaces. This was evident by the fact that so many Greymouth winners went nil yesterday.
Don Fuge and Frank Stammers runners come into their own on tracks like we saw at Hokitika yesterday. Only problem for those trainers is it happens once every 5 years.

I see Our Spice is in the first (a maiden) at Kumara on Saturday. Will be interesting to see how it backs up on a different heavy track.
Van Gogh, Brilleaux, Lord Bentley and Jonquil who were all impressive winners on a heavy Greymouth track on Saturday went shockers yesterday as warm favourites.

They shook hands after the winning post. That was the contact.

Homebush Flame won its third on the trot today. Lightly raced and looks a dog with a future.

Yep totally agree. Far and away the best trotting commentator in NZ not named Mark McNamara. Pity he doesn't get more opportunities.

Tool no. 1 got a reaction from JOHNRYAN in Umm what about Monbet?
Monbet was always going to be vulnerable last night. Drawn outside 1 and 3 who were never going to make it easy for him. He also hadn't beaten much the previous two despite winning impressively. The jury is out for the moment. Speeding Spur was huge in defeat and don't think there is much between the two anyway.

Yes $69,088 is carried forward to the quaddie pool for tomorrow.

Tool no. 1 got a reaction from jasonmccook1 in You can be the Judge
Why the hell would the judge declare a dead heat. The one dog won by a head. The ear of the black dog can clearly be seen a good head behind the ear of the winner.
You are living in la la land pal.

Tool no. 1 got a reaction from Trident in RIU Pick On The Little Guy
It was a pretty ordinary drive by a very ordinary driver who got shown up badly by Brent Mangos in particular. He simply has just got to cop this one on the Luk Chin and get on with it.

Black?? Its a pretty natural looking brown. Not sure what the big deal is as long as he talks sense.

Tool no. 1 got a reaction from lonestar in Lord Module winning the 1981 Allan Matson FFA
Yes indeed. He actually had the rest of the field easily beat too but couldn't withstand that late withering burst by LM. His driver Bruce Clark had the most aggressive and extravagant whip action I have ever seen and poor old Gammie used to get flogged every time that sadist drove him. The only horse better than Gammie during his illustrious career was Popular Alm.

Very impressive debut today, very impressive. Did a lot wrong and still cruised home in front of a filly with big wraps on it. Well done to the owners who tragically lost a smart one a few weeks before Christmas.

Tool no. 1 got a reaction from dustydreamnz in Trevor
Apart from stuffing up the finish of race 2 when he called the fav dog home, Trev picked the finishes very well at Southland on Tuesday. Far better than Davey Mac ever does. In fact he was calling them with so much accuracy I assumed he was using the TV monitor. Come to think of it, why the heck doesn't Davey Mac do that?

Not sure what folk thought happened to these dogs. Any dog or animal for that matter that is passed its use by date and is not wanted as a pet is put down. A trainer like John McInerney who has hundreds of dogs would have to put down dogs every week that are not profitable to race and unwanted as pets. How is this any different from sending retired race horses to the knackers yard or the meat works?
