Apperently the reason they stopped place 6 was it tied punters money up. So first question is why did they launch the product in the first place.
In my case yes I sat on my place 6 bet, this week I decided not to visit my TAB, a small protest but I felt better. I've got mates who bet on anything going, so this Saturday they bet on everything except place 6 so the only missing out is the TAB.

With regards your comment that it's not RITA job to promote the industry. If that's the thinking of RITA then we haven't a chance. It's everyone's job to promote the industry.
What RITA don't seem to understand is as they drive cost savings down in the wrong area they are driving revenue down so you finish no further ahead.

I'm a great Pick 6 Place fan. A group can have a lot of fun trying to out do each other.
 I was told sometime ago the TAB don't like the option as it can tie up your money. This is the reason they never promote the option or start with a guarantee pool. Just imagine a starting pool $20000. You would still have your Trifectas etc running along side your Place 6.
  Also if they think it's such a bad idea why did they release this type bet.

The point is Bernard is quoting the advice from their accountants. We all know that will only give you half the picture. He should balance that against what his Sales/Marketing team are advising, presuming he has asked.
The whole industry seems to be about cutting cost but that should be balanced building revenue.

Accountants don't understand. An owner goes on course to watch and bet on their horse PLUS they will bet on other races. If it becomes to hard an owner will bet online or at TAB and possible  only bet on their horse. Therefore another drop in revenue. Get rid of accountants, that would save huge amounts of money.
If anyone runs a business on the advice of accountants they will never grow that business.

Again they miss the point.PROPOSAL SUMMARY will further drive customers away. What don't they get. We have other options or some who don't have to bet will just stop.

Yes the social distancing rule is a sham. 
. As I previously commented the TAB wouldn't let clubs/pubs operate TABs. Stupid thing I walked into our local TAB on Saturday and everyone's gathering around Form Sheets as per normal.
