  1. Get a life mate, Pete Lamb best in the business end of story!!!! Gee having a moan about the best starter in NZ having a bit of personality. We are in 2012 mate
  2. the first call is the most boring programme i have ever seen!! Stu Laing is so dull it's embarrasing and does Des Coppins realise it's 2012, the way he dresses he looks like he's still in 1978!!! A complete and utter waste of a Saturday morning. All they need to do is display their selections just before the actual race. Please no more of hearing Stu say a favourite hasn't won the race since 1988!!
  3. Yeah the horse was very unlucky, would have got a good piece of quaddie i anchored both it and ratlock. Just one of those things I guess, Mark is one of the best in the business, I couldnt believe it even ran 2nd certainty beaten!! Won't be unlucky next time
  4. Any ideas on why T Chmiel drove Arden Torres when B Orange drove one of Gameson's in the same race?
  5. Who are the people who get their fingers burnt whenever his horses go to the races? All his horses seem to be well backed every start, but unfortunately all have issues with their manners. I don't mind horses that only gallop at the start but his horses can gallop at any point in the race. I know he has had some useful horses over the years but I can't remember any that you could rely on trotting all the way.
  6. Good on ya mate, Im sure Mark Jones has a statement saying he believed the start point for the mile at Richmond is the fairest in NZ. Either the jewels at Ashburton permanently or look to use Nelson or Wyndham perhaps
  7. so where will Paul Harris train?
  8. How could you possibly make money betting on gallops in NZ this time of year? I suspect there would be very few in NZ that would make money consistently until the tracks firm up in the spring.
  9. It may not be such a bad thing for Alta Christiano, it would have been a big effort to beat Five Card Draw. 2 hard runs in 6 days there may have not been a horse left for the jewels!! As for M Kerr as a driver, had a terrible weekend seems bad luck is following him at the moment. P Kerr used to use good drivers too, unfortunately Mitch has a wee way to go for mine.
  10. that run won't flatten Paul Kerr's horse? Yeah big run but surely you would have the best available driving your horse when the real money is up? Just opinion but Mitchell looked below average when getting useful drives for Gareth Dixon and the team was going average. Now he's back at the old mans Cooney and Herlihy are driving plenty of winners for him
  11. I agree his description of a moderately close finish is laughable. He also thinks he's the best in NZ, the guy is very painful indeed!!!

Great attitude Peter, you have a very positive outlook, having another look it was a 50-50 call. Having said that the Stars and Stripes derby is quite similar, not sure how he kept that race. Yeah Andrew I have raced horses havent had too much success yet, probably about as much as your tipping service!!

If that protest had of been round the other would they have thrown Herlihy out?? D Butcher was rapt to win that race, I think if I part owned Our Boy Su that would be it, no more racing horses

Did he deserve to be chucked out? Admittedly I had him in my treble so was happy with the price, didn't look like much in it to me
  15. nah have to disagree with you there, C Brown one of the best in the business, Innes wouldn't have ridden him any better, it wasn't it's grand final today. My Scotsgrey looks like 3200 will really suit looks like a one pacer who hit the line as well as any there today
