Great to see a good number of nominations for the upcoming meetings. Well done trainers for supporting the club

Whats wrong with club officials contacting trainers prior to the closing of noms advising that they are light in some grades. This is how it used to work in the north.

There maybe any number of reasons why the horse is late starting its career.

It certainly looks like a case of some being favoured over others. Valmagne is in form ,ok I know only a lower class trot on the grass at Hawera, and should be in the field. If I was the owner I would be appealing certainly to HRNZ although a fat lot of good that would probably do. Is there any wonder that owners are leaving the industry when they are treated like this.

Has anyone listened to the language being used as well. The announcer on Radio Trackside yesterday afternoon was constantly referring to bets as 2 grand or whatever, how about using the correct word as the use of slang on air does lower the standard. I know the standard may be already be low but there is no point in reducing it even further.

Very sorry to hear of Peter's passing. I had known Peter for over forty years and he was always the same friendly Peter. Central Districts and Harness Racing in general will mourn this loss.

Very sad to hear this, John was an absolute gentleman. Belinda you may also like to know that Lorraine Carson (ex Claudelands office) passed away the same day. R
