I'm afraid there will be a lot of "complaints" from all codes in the future simply because of the TAB's "two bites of the cherry" policy. Aaron is primarilarly a harness caller, George Simon a thoroughbred caller, etc. but they are more and more being expected to cross-code. Watch out George, you will be doing the dogs before you realise it!! And imagine Peter doing a 6 miler over the hill at Ellerslie!!! Don't laugh - it is not beyond the realms of the TAB "millionaire" boses tunnel vision.

Well Albie has called his last race tonight at Alexandra Park and many of us will miss Albie's professionalism at the park. I had the pleasure of talking with Albie before the races commenced tonight and while he was putting up a brave front, I am sure he is going to miss the many friends he has made over the years. He will not be completely abandoning attendance at the park so if you see him there don't forget to say 'hi". Thanks for all Albie.

In MMP we vote for the party - not the person, which we do under FPP. Before you go on about electoral MP's, under MMP we can vote against them but they still can end up in power. With FPP if we vote them out in electorate they are goooooooooone. i.e. there was no way we could get Helen out of the beehive and today we can't get rid of John either. No.1 on the list (for most parties) simply means you got them whether you like it or not. The power of the ballot box has surely been eroded.
