Glenn , people can make there own decision , I have mine and after watching the replay nothing changes in my opinion...I guess the good thing it has now been set in stone and hopefully the riu are consistent?

So wicked spell now had a fluffy thing on his ear did he , common Taylor look at it with open eyes...Thrilling butcha failed to pursue the lure ,,end of story.

The track according to the track curator was not fit for racing at 8am this morning and notified to john Michael and the stipes....how come I was not notified until I reached the track at 10.10am........Of course it was a act of god ....Why the hell are grnz running this club , put it back into peoples hands who have passion , its only one less vote john.

Again greyhound nz show they have no ability to run anything...

I really think it is time this welfare officer divorced himself from the board and administration of greyhound racing nz and started to listen to the trainers. he should be totally independent...I lost a good dog on Thursday at Cambridge because of the first bend running rail they have there ( it bows out massively in certain conditions ) this has been there for 3 years with nothing done ,many dogs have hit it free of interference......they all know its a problem but nothing gets done....Time to close these tracks until it is done and then see how quick things are repaired.....Again I thank arron cross because without him nothing would be done at all....And no mike I have not lost the plot...but I have lost a good dog due to poor track conditions

Unfortunately blunt,I would love to do it , but my owners have a choice as they own the dogs we race, they have been advised of my feelings ,it is as I said there choice....This is one of the major reasons I will no longer be a public trainer next season ,but I will not stay quiet about it ,my view is the welfare officer was put up as a cover for our administration , again I believe the welfare officer should have been put up by the government as a stand alone person and then they would have to be answerable for what's going on...the tracks in my opinion are the worst I have seen in 40 plus years of greyhound racing and the sad thing is there is no one capable of changing it , we deserve what we are getting.

The argument that we need these remote tracks because other tracks can't take more racing in the winter is wearing thin.
Look at waverley today 65 runners and waipuk must have had about the same , that's one days horse numbers for racing , not two.
The race day damage being done to tracks is  a half of what it was in the past , on that basis some tracks can cope with more racing and others are not needed .
 
I wonder how much money the industry lost when ypuk was abandoned ?
 
 

Im a public trainer and today is the first I have herd of these, yet i'm led to believe one was worn in the kennel block by the fav of the railway sprint, now that's fine but how the hell did it get pushed through grnz without nobody else knowing so quick with no testing (and please do not come back saying they are used in aussie ) surely punters deserve to know there is a change in what the dogs are using and other trainers can work on a equal playing field?..

As I said I have no problem with them as long as they have been tested ,,,,to allow it to be used on a punters fav in a group race without testing is wrong and who ever allowed it should stand down from any position he or she holds, did it have a adverse affect on the railway fav,who knows? but punters should have been informed.

Never saw it, don't you think they should notify all trainers,,,,,,Now I've seen it and it says testing, do you test on a fav in a group race with no one being told including punters?

Bublin gold has been trialing super since her season had finished over the sprints,running best of the days in her last 4 trials all in the low 18s and 21.20 at Cambridge , so the win was no surprise but the time was.....
