you have one chance to clear your record , if it was not used after the dogs 1st offence you are allowed to use the 10 runs after it's second offence , as was the case with nonna's girl , reiley's mate and although they were on 12mth suspensions neither fought or failed to pursue again . but you only get one chance .

Yes I agree Luke he has really not put up in my opinion , but then I guess look who is on our board , everyone of them a gunna ( IN MY OPINION ), what happened to this communication that was going to happen between the board , grnz office and LP"s.....Has anyone seen or heard from our LP rep since the revote or is he on a six month holiday ??????
 
If you have a welfare problem all this  guy does is put it back in the hands of the club you are having the problem with, we are a large kennel and have only been able this season to get three dogs into gap , Love to see what spending a million dollars has done for the rehoming OF  greyhounds ?????? It will end up like Rocketship , Dutchbook .

I guess it all falls back on the starter for allowing these things to happen..not the handlers as the rules say it is totally under his control once the dogs are at the boxes.

It states "maybe the cause" so not confirmed as yet. So it might be a bit premature convicting the manufacturer until the testing is finalised.
 
It does seem strange that this kibble has suddenly caused positives when it has been used in the district for at least the past two years.
 
It would also seem strange that other trainers in the area who also use it, some with larger kennels haven't returned positives. 
 
I know plenty of other kennels using it who haven't returned positives and haven't scratched their dogs on the weekend and plenty in Australia who also use it without any problems to date. 
 
Maybe it was a contaminated batch or maybe it was contaminated in another way. Even if that is the case it still seems strange how just those four kennels got it and no others.

No josh no one from the riu checks the boxes they rely on trackstaff ( to be fair they would not have a clue what to look for ), and they don't check the boxes either , the mats at Auckland are in shocking condition and been complained about for months, but nothing gets done, where the hell is our welfare officer.......its great they spend two million on a gap kennel that houses 15 dogs( cd only) but tracks get left to fend for themselves,,I have had enough and will write to the racing minister to look into greyhound racing nz's window dressing to hide our real welfare issue .....TRACKS IN NZ KILL MORE DOGS THAN ANY OTHER PART OF OUR INDUSTRY...STOP COVERING IT UP.

Don't agree,what has the dog done wrong? Hang the trainer but the owner should be allowed to sell his or her dog to anyone she likes.....Gezz  GRNZ get of your bums and do something positive, not sit in the office and make threats by typing something you can't keep .  Rule changes have to be voted at conference at the end of the year...Do what john says offer a reward, but don't pick on the poor dogs.....Gee animal welfare aye good on you Greg ......Maybe we will be lucky and our government will step in and replace our whole board.

About 10mnths ago  someone from the protection group made it clear they had footage off 3 cases of this happening in the 3 regions,will be intresting to see if it comes out??

I think there should be wild cards , and yes I do think this dog should be there , but were do you draw a line ? other people with c3 dogs think they should be in as well and under nzgra rules there is no room for a wild card,as higher grade dogs will always get a start first...Maybe there won't be enough noms to fill the fields,but that was the selection last year and in the case of the railway and cup only a couple of c4 dogs got in with the same reserves ( c4 ) for every heat, no lower grade dogs were entertained.

Under the auckland clubs own committee decision .c5 dogs will be selected to make up heats for the Auckland cup and railway with c4 dogs to fill fields if needed ....so there is no way this dog will be selected unless one off the owners has some sort of power that should  come into play

Simple , when noms for the race closed they were c2 , it does not matter if there where no heats noms closed before the downgrade rule came into effect .

If I may Scooby as this is targeted at me , the eye drops were taken by the riu and tested at the lab , they were found to have no performance enhancing properties in them , in fact the dogs should have been drowsey , The riu classed them as a remedy with a banned substance (and no johnyboy it was not on the label ) ..We made a mistake and at no stage have we denied it so Johnyboy just move on to your next negative post....

Just wondering what peoples opinion is of the success people in all three codes feel about the riu , has it made any improvement ? is there understanding of the individual codes up to standard ? do we get a fair go or is it dictatorial  (where we are right and you have no say)_.... Love to hear other peoples opinion ?
