Wassa..congrats on your wedding..........There is no doubt there is a problem with box draws ....the biggest example of this is in the maiden at auckland sunday is Glenn hunts 2 dogs drawing 7 and 8 and then on thursday the same dogs get the same draw 7 and 8....after talking to a lady at internal affairs or whatever it is called now.....even she agreed the chances would be slim.....I have to write a formal complaint and she said if there was enough others that doubted the systym complained they would have a look into it....so here is every ones chance if they think it is not right put pen to paper...

For some reason Auckland and cambridge seem to get only 11 races why?.....I would like to hear from other trainers to how many off there dogs are missing out.....a lot off people seem to think it is a lack off dogs i think it is a selection criteria problem up in the north and if fixed they would easy get 12 races plus..... please let me know and i will go in to bat...They should not have woken the sleeping grizzly bear....

Gary go into greyhound data and view the chat on it.......We tried it and believe bitches lost guts and lengths...it is a womens pill with no testing ever been done on bitches so results will be different...another welfare issue

And wow..what about the million dollar lab in nz that the last failure head off the riu promised....oh shit were is it now and were is he.......one word integrity.......there is no such word in our sport......if you cannot trust the riu you can not trust anyone.

Rather insulting to all those racing.  Do you know every single dog racing?  Do you know who is potentially injured or in season at the moment?  Do you know the entire breeding plans of every trainer, what litters they have on the ground? How they are breaking in, how far away they are from racing? Moreso, do you know their entire racing plans, what races the trainer aims to win, what series they want to enter and which ones they don't? Of the trainers you mentioned only one had a runner in these heats and deservedly won, but how can you compare the others when they didn't even have a dog running in these heats?
As someone mentioned earlier - a snapshot of a moment in time.  Things change - fast.  People make racing choices for whatever reason for their dogs - that doesn't mean the entire future is in wreck and ruin.
Do you also realise the impact reading your comments may have for the owners and trainers of the dogs?  You have clearly labelled every single runner as below par and to give up.  These people are the lifeblood of our industry. For you to belittle their input so easily and halfheartedly is unfair.  We should be thankful they are here without them all of us may not be here at all.  Not every heat, not every race is going to be representative of what is on offer at the moment and certainly every race does not have a worldbeater - not every dog can be.  That is why we stand and applaud those who stand out during a season.
Congratulations to everyone involved with every single runner in those heats - for being there and supporting our sport - stand tall and proud.  All the very best to those in the final.  I for one will sing your praises. 
Sometimes it's not an easy road, but the road gets somewhat more difficult when you have to deal with square wheels.

Yankiwi ....you pick on all this shit that makes no difference to racing...what about the lure driver at wanganui ,he drives races for his son ,daughter and inlaws,,,,now don't get me wrong i think he is one of the best,,but under our rules it should not be happening..but it is.

Read my posts and you will get the bigger picture.     Yes I have used NZ based sires and have a lovely Piggy Bank pup that will get every chance.    DDO versus DV - both nice dogs but the former has outstanding race records and superior genetics in my view.    Ray

This comes back to our awards.....surley all divisions should have winners but should not the top trainer be awarded on group one wins as greyhound of the year is...animal welfare should dictate this.....ie  karen walsh wins 6 group ones but the top number in wins trainers win none who is the top trainer ?????.....its time our awards reflected the best not the most..

Ray i think you have a more vested intrest to get rid of imports so they wont get in your way with your breeding so you can win group races....we have done both and to tell you the truth if you want to eat you bring in imports......if you are retired like you with a income that dogs wins don't effect you then breed because at the end of the day there is no more satisfaction than winning a group race with your own breed...but don't bag imports....Kath and i are down $80000 in the last year with our breeding ( and i am not saying it is right or wrong as we have won 3 group ones and plenty of racing series with them )  but when you rear a whole litter and keep them we all know the cost...from last week i have stopped breeding ( maybe one litter a year , and i have some nice broodies ) and have 6 imports coming in the next two weeks to make sure we can eat and pay for the other dogs we have......i remember Jimmy lee from perth telling me 7 years ago you are either a breeder or a trainer and if you are a breeder you will go broke , so stay as a trainer and you will survive.......did i listen no.....

Is the rug forward, even so far so as to cover the number, an advantage or a disadvantage? I don't know, but it's not on the greyhound that way it was just 10 seconds before post time when I may have placed my wager on the race. That's exactly why there are rules in place & when they're breached, a punishment follows. Is a punter expected to predict whether a rule will be broken or not as a greyhound slips into the shadows as the door is closed behind it as well & just be ok with it whatever way it turns out?
A Steward is present right behind the boxes as it occurs. A second Steward views the race from both high above & on a video replay. Can they not see that you can't read the number on the side of the rug as it's put in the boxes? Do the Stewards even know what the rules are? Most of the time it seems like they haven't a clue of what they're even supposed to be enforcing.
Oh well, I'll change my tactics for the future, so I don't upset RaceCafe members & you can all have your happy little place back to yourselves.

..Tamper it is not , the handler prefers the rug to be at the front of the dog , there is no rule in greyhound racing that tells you how a rug should be worn , so how is he tampering with it ?.....now if he cut the rug that would be tampering....so if i reajust the muzzle on a dog i am tampering with it.....dont think so.......

I think you need to look at grnz again... chch tried to run a bitches only c5 race and were told no from above..so the only way you can run these races is by making them  special condition races....as long as the lois henely memorial has been going it has and i understand will always be selected on club criteria.....Gezz sairy she ran a super race nailed at every point and ran down 2 dogs in the straight.....You sure you arn't gary one because you are starting to sound like him.
