  1. Does anyone know why the 2 open class races are race 2 and 3 on the card this Saturday? Very heavy track on Sat i presume?
  2. And therein lies the problem. Over the last 15 or so years NZ clubs, organisations, schools etc have become dependant on this 'dirty' money. It's a huge problem that most NZers are prepared to turn a blind eye to.
  3. Sports Bar in Thames has the new format as well. Looks great!!
  4. What a joke! How can this guy not be in the top 6 or 7 number eights in the country. The biggest c**k is Rennie for looking outside his region first. BOP union must be spewing because we will lose him overseas!
  5. "ticking" should read kicking!! Freudian slip perhaps .... kaboom!
  6. In theory with the Wallabies supposed weakeness in the forwards it should suit the All Blacks but wet weather tends to be a leveller and with an inexperienced first five whose biggest issues involve tactical ticking I wonder whether the Aussies will be secrectly smiling at the forecast.
  7. The forecast for Sunday night is now rain. Is this better for NZ or Aus?
  8. I can never understand the selfishness (possibly not the right word) of organisations who defend their right to take huge amounts of money from the lower socio-economic groups in the country. I also cannot understand governments and a public who, because it saves them money, turns a blind eye. Well done Gillard. I doubt she's going to win but hopefully it may start a debate over here.
  9. The All Blacks have never been a one trick pony. Carter is a loss no doubt, but one person does not make a team. No other country has depth like we do. Man i feel sorry for Slade having to listen to half the country including media and ex all blacks saying we are now screwed. Dan missing will make it a bit tougher but there's plenty of other world class players in the team!
  10. 1. Why, when he was the top try scorer for the club for the year at the time, was Kristian Inu dropped for so many games 2. The player of the year for the Warriors arguably Joel Moon. Brought in for Ropati and solid as a rock. 3. That Aussie 110 hurdler... Wow!!! Yes I have had a few!!!
  11. I was really pleased that Cruden started to show some of the skills we know he had, but really it was far to late for the Hurricanes by then. Are Auckland prepared to wait a for most of a season as well?
  12. Agree totally! At Super 15 level Donald has been a consistently good performer so was deserving of a shot at the All Blacks. He was found out a bit with his decision making, end of story. The vitriol surrounding him is ridiculous. I fully support anybody having a crack at Waikato in general (Bay supporter here) but this whole 'Donald' thing is stupid. I actually thought he would be a very good pick up for Auckland next year. You only need to look at Cruden to see the pitfalls of relying on a 20/21 yr old to direct a Super 15 team around the park.
  13. It's a national disgrace that so many groups and associations are essentially being funded by (in the main) the lowest socio-economic groups in the country. The rest of the country doesn't give a s**t because these groups are funding their activities so they don't have to pay themselves. We've backed ourselves into to a corner with this dependence. Any solutions??
